Did some work on the s10 which is named blue thunder. I will create its own thread because much frustration will no it has already happened.

I started out by getting my coffee and watching some videos on installing Super Lugs on lawn tractor wheels. I was looking for tips I may have forgotten about since last time I did it. The 2 videos I found were no help, both ended up struggling, giving up, and taking them to a tire shop to have them done. LOL

I got it done but did require to have my wife help since two hands were not enough. I used my motorcycle tire machine. It isn't made to hold 8" rims but, it worked better than nothing.

I used the rims off the "parts tractor" so now it has the new wheels and turf tires on it just to keep it as a roller.

I needed a new battery for the old lawn tractor that I just fixed. The old batty was marked 12/17 so I got my money's worth out of that one.

I went to Walmart for the battery and my wife came along and bought some groceries. I unloaded the groceries, installed the battery, and mowed the front yard right before dark.

I came in and ate and now I am tired but, it is way too early to even think about bed.

Made about 1.25 gal chicken stock (home made is better, no salt), 24 oz. ghee and 24 oz. clarified butter. Wife came home to mashed taters and bacon wrapped meatloaf. Unfortunately it'll be back to work for me in a couple of days.

Earlier today I noticed the leg rest on my recliner felt a bit funny. Betty Lou noticed a broken tension spring on the floor. 1/2" in diameter and 3" long. The hook on one side it broken off. Tomorrow I'll make a run to the hardware store. They got lots of options. If I can'r find one, we will be in Troy Wednesday and they have a Lowes.

We drove 65 miles for lunch in the San Diego County mountains. It was rainy most of the way, when we got there and about half of the way home. I actually chose to go because of the rain, we have never been there when it was rainy. It is mostly a curvy road with a few straight spots. the scenery was nice and green as expected. Two or three hours from now it will be snowing in Julian where we ate.

Changed the car's oil n filter, cabin filter and the coolant. Removed the pcv valve and vacuum capped it with a hose clamp fastened. Removed the oil catch can and vacuum capped the surge tank fitting as I'm tired of the pcv sending oil vapor to the surge tank above the intake as those deposits may be contributing to the direct injection engine's oil burn issue fouling the valves from above. Hopefully this will resolve some of the oil burn at least. Removed and cleaned the short ram intake and air filter then finally the throttle body. Cleaned everything up in the garage, threw away the trash then called it quits.

I’ve been working on cleaning and organizing the house, taking care of Ayrabella and Chillie since last Thursday… I’ve tried to want to shoot airguns in between… but what I’ve gotten accomplished so far, I won’t regret it.

Woke up to 18 degrees this morning.🥶 Over cast and expecting snow tonight. Just what we need 😡. Road out to the pavement will be passable this morning but not after it thaws.

81* here and muggy. Spent the morning tying up the loose ends of the retirement process. Repotted some fruit trees, cleaned out some of the raised garden bed, fill up seed trays with fresh soil. Pick out places on the property to garden in that doesn't flood in the summer.

Got that second local store run done and Betty Lou is now in the kitchen doing her Pioneer Woman thing.
I'm hearing plans to make taco soup and stuffed pepper soup. Both are quite enjoyable. She'll portion them for meals and stock the chest freezer.
She also picked up the ingredients to make bone shaped dog treats for B & R.
I heard mention of fruit cocktail cake but I have no idea what that is.. I only know it required a bottle of 7up.... or Sprite.
Eggs magically came down to $4 and change for a carton of 18. These were the Egg Land Best brand.. large grade A.

Later we plan to get back out into the bar/mancave for a few beers and she wants to finish sanding her RM377 stock.

I had been hearing about the egg prices. Checked at the store tonight and they were a bit raised but not over the top like I thought I had heard/read. $16 for 5 dozen not great but not horrible. Not gonna stop me from scrambling up a big batch in the morning along with some sausage and fried taters along with some O.J. to chase it down. Maybe a batch of small sized pancakes would be good too! Loves me some real maple syrup 🥞🥞🥞

So, on a whim I bought a few scratch off tickets. Something I never do!
So end results?
Everything I bought ended up FREE as I won $110!

Well. My cut will probably be nada as I always give the winners to SWMBO.
But I get the free stuff! That's the IMPORTANT stuff! Beer for my Nuther Year Older Day!
OH! I also get my Medicare stuff turning 65.
