Delivered the boom sauce and started some maintenance on the transmission for the mechanic to finish when he gets back to the shop.

Moved yet more art supplies out to the Man/Art cave.  I didn’t realize I had all this stuff.  The memsahib says I’ve been squirreling it away for years.  I’ve got dozens of supports (canvases) that I had forgotten about.  I started some sketches for a Halloween poster.  Hope to get that idea finalized and start painting the actual posters tomorrow.  Smoking my pipe right now and thinking about walking the pups.

My wife is usually off with her girl friends all day on Thursdays, stitching, lunch, and a lot of gabbing. Well I just got off the phone with her and ask her out to a 50's style Dinner we like, and now she is on her way home, and then we'll go. I want their Chocolate Malt and Burger and Fries. I spent some time working outside, got hot, got thinking about their malts. 

It will be a nice break in our routine.

Long walk in the woods up the rocky slopes behind the house, scoping out fungi and wildlife, looking for sheltered ledges and small caves which can be found with a little searching.   Nice afternoon!  Lots of Eastern Newts and fungi abound - found a nice beartooth fungus.  Good cooking.

Hitched up our modest RV and came home from eight nights and days at Lake Hawkins RV park. 

I did enjoy shooting some coke cans with my Crosman 2300 and Crosman revolver yesterday and the day before. A lot of things I am but a handgun marksman ain't one of 'em.

Back home now. Great as always. One of these times I will opt for a wood smoked steak or ribs.

Looks good Dan! Now that's a real burger not that 1/8th" thin patty that Whataburger sells. You'd have to order a quad patty burger there to get that much meat.

Did paper work for most of the day.  Accomplished very little.  Drove two boats for another skipper who wasn’t feeling well and finished off the day by leading an hour long walk around the lodge grounds at dusk looking for wildlife.
We did pretty good.  Saw the usual deer, squirrels, and bats.  We heard some Barred Owls and Great Horned Owls but didn’t see any.  Eight people came for the program so I consider it a success.

Tilled the garden. Realized why my tomatoes didn’t do well this year. The soaker hose wasn’t enough as the dirt was way harder than normal. Oh well.

Washed my car. Drove to a different state to buy gas in both vehicles.
Sanded 100+ year old mahogany trestle table that we bought for $10...ok, my wife sanded it while I sat in a lawn chair and tended the fire.

No air guns today.

We made the 2 hour run to the Gulfarium Adventure Park in Fort Walton Beach, Florida yesterday. Had a great relaxing day just strolling around the park and enjoying the aquatic critters. The dolphin show was absolutely amazing. It's mind blowing to see the intelligence of these creatures first hand and up close. It was a nice way to kick off my retirement adventures.

 Busy weekend of giving hay rides, we were able to locate and stop for the riders to get some nice up close photos of deer, I should of remembered I have a camera that works on my phone again, got a new phone upgrade a few months ago

When we got home yesterday we realized we only took one picture and that was of a rare albino alligator. We were just enjoying the leisure strolling of the park.

He was about a 6 footer and everyone claimed he was fake.... until he moved.
Had me almost fooled because he looked like plastic just laying in the shallow water like that.

Cleaned and folded up the pool and the pool cover. Hauled my old couch out of the garage and hauled my old chair from the office to the garage. Hauled a bunch of stuff out of the house and the garage to the burn pit. Visited our middle daughter for a bit, she took a break from art class. Then we all had ice cream. I think it’s time for a nap and then I’m going to shoot an airgun.

Today is moving stuff out of the backroom into the new 12 X 16 She Shed.
Once that is done? Gonna measure for pouring self leveler in the back room for new flooring.
It's an old concrete pad and not well done! It's going to be our Living room once I get that leveled.

I've been working/fiddling around (that is I haven't gotten much done) in the sun it is up to 86°F now and I am hot. I came in to cool down and hydrate some.
