I’ve had plenty of wildlife inside the fence, but not if we’re out there, it’s more of a deterrent. I’ve not seen any hogs here, but I’m sure they’re out there. Someday I’m going to put trail cams up, we have a lot of deer and their routes are well established.

 Happened to watch an episode of NCIS NO , starts out with a guy piloting a tour boat and they get around a bend, and there is a huge gator statue "lifelike" , the guy pulls out a blank gun and fires a couple shots at it as part of the tour LOL thought of Carter right then

I ordered all of the items to convert my Drill Press from a Crank Table Lift to an Electric Lit Table !

It will take about one to two weeks to get all of the parts but I will be changing the Motor over to 220 Volts, before you ask, that is the voltage already in place and the motor is 120/220 volts so no biggy, just some wires and a new main lead.

The Drill Press is an 2006 Delta 20" HD !
It has had one owner, well taken care of and the price was below average.   The Wife had lost here husband and she was selling off his tools.

now to get back to setting it up and putting it in place.

Update:

All the parts for the Motorizing of the Drill Press Table are here but the new Paddle Switch cam in also so I am wiring up the Drill Press for 220 volts.
I need to make a bracket to mount the motor, some measuring of the Motor mounted to the Table Crank with the coupler in place, and determine where the Motor will fit vs Mounting Bracket design.

I also start the New Fence project.   I cut the 2.5" Angle Iron to 18" (2.5" is all the recycling center had), and ordered the 95 lb. MagSwitch - magnetic lock downs, thinking I should have ordered the 150 lb. unit.   I need to cut holes for the magnets to operate efficiently, and then tight mounting holes, I might need to do some trimming to allow the MagSwitches to mount flat to the angle iron.

A lot of $ into that to be so nice looking. Did they say if it's still the original engine and trans? A old guy in town drives his survivor but it's very tired looking not anywhere near as nice looking as that one and it's exhaust wreaks when driving behind him.

Makes me remember my 1969, it was a streetable 10 second car which broke things all the time. I got rid of it because of CA smog laws at the time.

Sweet for city driving but not freeway with that 3spd. I had that trans with a modified 350 in my 74 GMC truck and that sucker rumbled too where I had to turn it off in drive thrus to hear the order taker. It was a short block but people commonly thought I had a big block. I had a lot of fun in that thing.

Mine had a Munchie 4 speed, I spelled it that way on purpose. 
You know they say "practice makes perfect!"  I was real good and fast at R&R on that Munchie! If I had kept it I would have got a new transmission the next time it failed.

I had a "munchie" 4 speed in my 71 vette with a 454 big block. Never had problems with it but did find out the chevy factory that put the engine together installed one of the rods in backwards. I traded it in on a 1980 Chevy diesel pu. They sold the vette the next day and the guy who bought it blew it up that night. 53k miles and the rod went through the engine block. Boy they were mad at me over that but shut up real fast when I told them their new truck left me walking to work that same night.

The last time I had the transmission worked on I found a real race car transmission guy to do it. He verified the aluminum case was stretched, he shimmed it and guaranteed it wouldn't last if I accelerated hard even once. California was requiring it to be smog equipped for the next 4 years and I was not in a position to fix it and to equip it to be a legal driver and didn't want to let it set 4 years until it was smog exempt so I sold it cheap to a contractor that had a fleet of vehicles and his own smog guy.

I took a leisurely drive along the forgotten coast.  West on highway 98 from Panacea to Eastpoint. Then back east along Gulf Shore drive on St. George Island.  It was a beautiful day to cruise the coast road in our 05’ F350 based dump truck! 

I picked up a load of wood chip mulch to dump on our play ground.  It was a wet, heavy load so the mud flaps were dragging as I chugged back up 98 at a sedate 45 mph.  The two lane blacktop hugs the coast and is pretty curvy for a Florida Road.  I pulled off every ten miles or so to let faster traffic pass me.  Stopped at the Crispy Crunchy Chicken place in Panacea and got lunch.

The only bummer was I had to spread the load around the play ground when I got back to the park!

well it’s the best darn fried chicken you can get in these parts. There’s two other Crispy Crunchys in this county but the ladies at the Coastal Corner in Panacea make the best chicken around.

Had a good meeting with a couple fellows that I meet weekly with on Wednesday mornings. Mowed 2/3 of my lawn and then visited my family doctor. The doctor is referring me out to a couple more doctors- gastro & ortho… then went to work. Had a not so good conference call with 2 of my bosses… then headed an hour south to fix a machine no one else could fix. In fact, the last guy that was there was barred from going back there by the site manager. I fixed that machine, came home to a hot meal that was fabulous, made by my wife. Showered and I’m headed to bed. Tomorrow’s a new day.
