I mowed the yard at first light in prep to a hospital visit.  Now, I'm still in our local hospital awaiting an ambulance to take me to Tyler for treatment for Pulmonary Edema.

Spending the morning copying all of the paperwork that my wife is going to submit to the jerks insurance company from when he hit her as a pediatrician with his pickup. Already ran the black ink cartridge on one printer and hoping the cartridge on the other holds out. The cartridge in the first one was brand new when I started copying a few days ago.

Drove seven hours on interstate 10 from Biloxi home to fire base Bert.  I’m whipped.  We hit every Buc-ee’s between here and San Antone.  Twice.  Love their kolaches!

I sat in the garden for an hour when I got home and as always I had an air rifle handy but I was just too pooped to shoot!

I kept my appointment with the cardiologist.........got 2 thumbs up! (Good thing he wasn't the proctologist....)

Then went to the home of a woman whose riding mower I maintain.
Had to replace her deck belt and sharpen the blades.
Next I picked up a replacement gas valve for our 1 year old water heater..... I'll replace tomorrow.

Off to the WWII Museum in NOLA on Thursday for a 3 day visit......I can't get enough of that place...or the WWII Museum of the Pacific in Fredericksburg Texas, either! Both great Museums...Both great venues...........

The memsahib says you are one lucky devil!  She loves Buc-ee’s, especially their Texas smoked sausage and jerky.  Our closest Buc-ee’s  is just east of Mobile. About five hours west of us.

The Serotta road bicycle had about 38,000 miles on the brakes.  About 37,000 of the miles were Louisiana 'flat land' miles.  The brake pad were fine when I brought the bicycle here in 2017.  But all of a sudden, the pads were down to the replace indicators.  So I pulled the old pad off and ordered new ones from Amazon.  I was actually surprised those pads were available from Amazon - and at a much lower price than from the Nashbar folks too. 
So, the mountain bicycle will get a little use for a couple of days.

That’s quite a few miles.  I burned through brake pads when I lived in the mountains.  Not so much in Florida.  Last time I put new pads on my Cannondale was 2006.

You only have two bikes?  I’m a hoarder but I’m down to four mountain bikes, one road bike, and two adult tricycles.

Yes, Cap, only two.  I was using the mountain bicycle (Schwinn) in Louisiana for hunting.  It is still in good condition.  The road bicycle is my most comfortable one and It gets the most use.  I got it in the mid-90s.  And you are correct about the brake pads wearing faster in the mountains.

I am the Maintenance manager at a PVC compounder... We produce 1.2 million pounds a week, 6 million pounds a month..

 Today, after 2 hours of down time, A $75 limit switch that none of my guys could reach was the cause.. I am skinny and long.
Yep... "Boss" jumped in and got the task done.

visited forums. took a picture of some 18gr .22 cal pellets pertaining to h&n shooting pretty well.

these are H&N, JSB and FX brand pellets. can you tell which is which?

I've had three 2'x4' folding tables from Walmart since I started shooting A/G's in 2011. They're looking kinda' rough especially the one I leave out back. After shooting some yesterday. I was setting at the table drinking cold black coffee from a jar and smoking and contemplating retired life and noticed how awful the table looked.

I had some left over ivory spray paint I tried on the grips of one my Crosman revolvers. Didn't like it so I sprayed over it with flat white. I like that. I sprayed the top of the table with the ivory and after it dried cut some little leaves and stems and spread them over the table and sprayed red paint over them light enough it looks kind of pink. Wife loved it.

I then went and got the other two tables from the trunk of my car where I keep them for our monthly fun shoots at Ole Tom Cat's in S.C. Used up the rest of the ivory and red with some old blue spray paint and did kind of a abstract American flag.

Covered the third table with flat white. I got an old broken Mendoza RM2003 with a scope that rattles when you shake it. Cocked the barrel a little past 90 degrees and laid it diagonally across the middle of the table. On a corner set two bricks with the three holes in them like I do to lay my shot bag across to shoot off. Then around the table I laid some A/G tools, alen wrenches, pellet tins, scattered a hand full of pellets, a couple of empty co2 carts, a AR2078 degassing tool and a AK/SKS front sight adjustment tool I use on my B3-1 AK's and TS45 side levers. Then I sprayed over it all with flat black spray paint. Looks cool, kind of like an x-ray.

I guess that's my post retirement artistic expression or maybe that shows how bored I am.
