Dan, I didn't use my new generator until Michael hit us. I had bought it before Ivan(2004) came through and didn't need it until now So long as you keep the tank cleaned out and dry and empty the carb bowl out, they will be ready for the next time. I hope I don't have to use mine this year, just so tired of the rain and flooding around here. Sitting here waiting on the next update on Ida, you never what these storms will do once they are in the gulf.

Cleaned and polished the tub and its accessories.

It was not even dirty though, but I want it spotless like my guns

Also swept and deweed the surroundings, did laundry (handwash, of course

), then vacuumed the whole house.

We now have a Filipino teacher who is our boarder.

He is a great cook, so this might be my chance to gain a bit of weight

Mowed.... 2 days straight.
But the front and back are looking good again.
Next comes bits of trimming with the weed-eater after work the next few days.

Mowed my yard. Then mowed my neighbor's lawn, Then on the other side helped my neighbor's kid mow their yard. Then went and mowed my son's yard (he's a paramedic and is on a 48 hour shift and it's supposed to rain for the next 3 days.

One thing about mowing lawn's, if you want to have fun doing it, mow someone else's. Also if you want to mow lawns early on the weekends, mow your neighbors.

Been killing fire ants by the millions the past couple days. When I need to walk in the yard at night to kill hogs I don't want to be standing in a 4ft bed without knowing it.

Drove two tour boats in the pouring rain. Everybody wanted to go regardless! Canceled three boats that didn’t make the minimum number of passenger reservations and took out two small groups. I guess the rain kept folks away. Saw plenty of wildlife though the gators were a bit shy. There were lots of birds and we did get to see a female alligator chase an intruding male away from her territory. Pretty exciting!

Pulled the Grille and Headlights out of the 2003 Ranger.
Modifying the Radiator Support to accept HID Projector Headlights.
Redoing the FORD lettering on the Grille, adding LED strips to the rear of each letter, just enough for a very low glow.
Next is adding larger door mirrors with directional indicators; they have heat and I will wire them for it but not needed any more.

All three things should take should take a couple of weeks with the Honey-Do List.

The memsahib loaded up the kid this morning and moved her out. Sophie moved into her new apartment today! For the first time since she moved back in with us almost a year ago the memsahib and I are alone in our home.

Spent the day hand digging for drainage pipe along the garage. Water accumulates there whenever there is a hard rain and seeps into the garage. Getting too old for this. Tomorrow I get the pipe and install it.

Got the Radiator Support modified and the grille support mod'd to fit the new Projector headlights.
One mounted and the other needing a little tweaking; the tweaking because the battery box is IN THE WAY !
It will be a PITA to remove so I am trying to work around it, removed all the wire harnessing in the immediate area so I can use a small saws-all to trim things up.
Once that head-light is fitted properly, then the wiring starts; I have never wired Projector headlight but the schematics looks simple enough.. just follow the wires, plug things in, and hope for the best.
The mounting of the transformers, the ballasts, and wiring the hallos around the headlights and the directions to cross blink with the side markers and the hallos, will take up most to the time, but only time will tell.

No rush ! Still working on it !
Then of course you have the Honey-Do List... AND the wife wanting some of it completed... BUTT... THERE IS MY Truck !

Put most of my vegetable garden to bed for the year. Kept 1 tomato plant and a couple pepper plants. Everything was still producing, I just got tired of the "garden grind". All things considered I had a good year in my vegetable garden, no major natural disasters and I had more produce than I could use.

I have to take out the Headlight Assemblies to start the wiring sometime today, I will try to remember pictures.
I have some of the truck but for some reason I never remember to take pictures of the modifications.
Come to think of it I do not remember any of the How-To's I read about the Projector Headlight Conversion to have pictures of the actual mods to the truck.

Yesterday I cut a friend's yard and my daughter's yard. Today I was going to start cutting ours but after picking up two trailer loads of limbs that blew down as Hurricane Ida pasted by I was too exhausted to mow. I may or may not cut some in the late afternoon today or just wait will daybreak tomorrow to start.
