Day 2 in the hospital with my little shooting partner, Ayrabella.

Making a second batch of black powder for my canon, cleaning out all the totes I took to convention, putting stuff back into the pole barn and cleaning up the garage. I also need to get my workbench back, the "Project Monster" has all sorts of carp laid out that needs to find the circular file or be put away.
God luck and good health to both of you John.

I'm hoping for the best for Ayrabella, John. Prayers sent your way.
Thanks Jerry, Scott, Dan & all… I posted this in the “Good morning thread”: Good morning/afternoon GTA! Day 3 at Children’s Hospital. We’re hanging in there, Ayrabella is very weak and it’s now looking like we may be here for several more days, perhaps through this whole coming week, maybe. I went home & mowed & trimmed the backyard & let the dogs run around. I took Mahayla to lunch. I’m back at the hospital and my wife suggests I go home & stay with Mahayla & the dogs & sleep in my own bed tonight. Tomorrow we’ll switch & my wife will stay home for the night. If we do that, I’ll mow & trim what’s left as soon as the sun comes up. It was blazing hot & humid today & I was only on the mower about a half hour. Ayrabella is actually right on track for what the doctors & nurses told us to expect, it’s just a pretty rough going. She’s ornery and cranky, but still has a slight bit of a sense of humor. It’s all going to be alright, it’s just testing all of our patience is all. Thanks again for everyone’s prayers.
Reduced to this
You won't have to worry about mowing that spot for a year or so.
Andalusia Gun and Knife Show yesterday. Not one single airgun in sight. I was able to buy a Daisy tin sign for the bar. It's a repop.I just happened to have the 1914 German Mauser (pocket pistol) from WWI in the truck and took it in to see if there was an interest in it. One guy tried to low ball me big time so I put it back in my pocket and brought it back home. The prices on everything were stupid. I didn't see anything that even came close to making me to pull the card out. I'm just not into PB like that. This is the 3rd time we've been to this show and I've only seen, and bought, one airgun. I'm not even going to bother with it anymore.
