I had to put one of my dogs down today. It wasn't fun. I miss him already. He was a calm and wise dog.
Went back to work today.Prednisoze and a couple "bumps" off the Albuterol inhaler made it tolerable. NOW they are on me about my BP... 196/95 apparently is bad.

We went thru the same two years ago. We had another in today for annual plus an ever increasing fear of thunder and gunshots. Trazadone and Xanax aren't doing it anymore for him and vet dropped the ball. We had been accepted into a study with hope of it helping and vet got us disqualified by re RXing a discontinued med last visit and was clueless on the issue. Poor guy gets surgery on top of it next month. Odd thing is it's just those noises and airbrakes. Unmuffled race cars he gets excited more so if riding in one.
Did the fear of those noises affect his health?
Hi Tater, It's starting to as far as mental health and stomach issues. He's having surgery to remove tumor on paw and growth on eye that is affecting his vision. He's a 14 yo deformed rescue. Thunder jacket, soothing dog music, daily dose of Trazadone and then if storms approach he starts with one Xanax and we add more every 3-4 hours if storms continue or increase. Since the vet screwed up chances for new drug testing programs for thunder that gave him another new RX that we will try again to get filled today. Local drug stores don't carry it.
