I am SOOOO happy to hear that is all you were exposed to.
What was the voltage? I thought you did higher than 480.
I am STILL trying to enforce arc flash hazard to my employee's.
They literally have no respect. I have equipment up to cat 4 and I swear no one on the "off shifts" wears gloves, let alone a balaclavia... FR rated coveralls, face shield.
I KEEP preaching the calories involved in comparison to sticks of dynamite...
I Personally was suited up, just last week, taking measurements on a 50 KVA transformer with a 150c Temp rise with the panels off "hot" and some comic Operator waved his hands in the way and said "careful".

He got a tongue lashing from me right away and then a write up.... BUT they have no respect for boundaries.
If you could send me some training videos it would be greatly appreciated.

Our distribution voltage is 26kv. I was working on 120/240 temp service.

Your doing stuff that I would feel uneasy doing. I’m out in the open air and not working in a cabinet where the blast would be directed right at me normally.

Sounds like your outfit needs to start doing some training for these guys otherwise someone will get hurt of killed. At the very least they need to wear the right protection but that’s not really the answer. Proper procedure AND PPE are the winning combo. PPE is for the OPPS moments. Be safe in there.

Her Birthday is Sunday.
This time last year she was getting Radiation treatments, after major surgery the previous December.

Today a dressed up my " nice boots " a bit.
Weinbrenner thorogood 1892 series Tomahawk model in Cognac Horween Cromexcel leather..I shined the toes up a bit with some Angelus neutral polish and added the kilties and enameled Brass American flag lace keepers.

I can see why Horweens Chromexel leather is so famous, it ages beautifully and shines up nicely.
I don't know if it's true or not, but I've heard it was used for leather seals on Sherman tanks during the 2nd world war.

I received my Hammer XT slingbow head that I hope to do some bowfishing with, and I got started making myself a decent portable catchbox for my recent slingshot addiction.

Bullfrog season starts June 30 and I'm lucky enough to be able to legally hunt them both ways, steel and lead. My wish for the world is to have a bigass frog leg fry for Labor Day since we'll all be vaccinated by then....right?

Extended our membership at Karisma Resorts from our 120ish days remaining (2 weeks a year for the next 10 years).... to 25 years unlimited weeks. "All Inclusive".
We can bring friends and family any time, as much as we want... and "will" it to our four daughters we named as the benificer's as an inheritance. ...for the remaining years we don't use...
