Dan I envy you. Perfect weather you have. Worst snow storm I can remember in my lifetime here in TX right now.

I called my son today, he lives in Mo. south of Springfield. I asked him what he was doing and he said "thawing my feet". It was -2 at his house when I called with 12mph winds. He worked from home today. He is a sales rep. and was suppose to have a meeting in AR tomorrow and said he had decided he would not cancel it and get razzed again about being a So Ca. boy, well... the others canceled, so he saved face, LOL.

Checking on my orders, I found my new humidor and humidity control packets will be arriving today! The snow stopped about an hour ago, finally. I busied myself lining my makeshift cigar storage box to put a humidity control packet in (69%), while I spend two weeks seasoning the humidor.
  I made this cigar storage box out of the box my last pistol came in;



  This humidor holds 25-50 cigars, depending on size. No temp control, which is more expensive. But hygrometer and place to put humidity control packets.

Got 8 hours working on a walk-in freezer and a walk in cooler with condensers on the roof. It sorta wasn’t worthy, sorta not bad for a day’s work. When I got there it was -15* outside, 51* in the freezer and 47* in the cooler. When I got done it was 20* outside, 0* in the freezer and 36* in the cooler. I definitely spent as much time white-knuckle driving as I did turning wrenches. I’m done, time for stew! And more snow tonight.

I finally broke down and bought four new tires for my truck today.  I got a pretty good deal and a rebate so out the door it was four new Goodyear’s for just under $400, mounted and balanced.  Then I went and spent almost the same amount of money on groceries, stopped and got a carton of smokes for the memsahib and swung by the pharmacy.  Dropped a grand in about one hour.

Today I found the stupidest seller I've ever encountered in all my years of online buying! First they sell me the wrong item, then they tell me to pay for the return, then I told them no you send me a return label, then instead of emailing it to me so I can print it out like it's supposed to be done they instead wasted money and several days by freakin shipping it and giving me the tracking # for the label! You can't make this up! Must be some mighty strong meds that poor soul is on.

I'm a custom cabinet maker and there is always  trim, kick and sometimes crown molding to put up. Sometimes when I have factory cabinets to install stuff will be busted up and I have to fix or rebuild on the job. Or wait 2-3 weeks for a replacement cabinet.

Gil, I ordered sand paper for my drum sander from home depot on Feb. 18, it was suppose to be here on Feb 22, check tracking with Fed(screw up) and it said shipping label damaged, unreadable, new one being created. That was at the Georgia hub, now it's headed to Oklahoma. I don't even want to think what the package looks like. I'm done, got on eBay and placed an order and have it coming to the PO box. Online ordering is getting to be a pain in the posterior lately.

HD screwed me with the mower warranty work it needed. Outsourced repairs to a shop in another town which took a long time to get it back. Had mud on it they didn't clean off and the engine developed rust making a groan when running from letting it sit in rain. I'll never buy a mower from HD again. Buy from local stores that service mowers themselves even if the price is higher it's worth the saved time and aggravation.

I rarely shop HD anymore unless they have something I need and Lowes doesn't have it. Most of my woodworking, general lawn toy, marine, and vehicle parts and supplies are purchased on Ebay. One, the stuff is way cheaper and 2, they will USPS to a PO box, 3, it shows up in one piece. I am lucky that I can fix the majority of my stuff here without depending out side help. Just tired of being ripped off and stuff not being fixed right.

Well, sorting pellets reminds me too much like being at work. If I'm going to sit around and sort something, I'd rather be getting paid to do it...

Finished my work week. It’s raining and temps are dropping. Should be a nice weekend though.
