Straightened up the shop finally, swept the floors, vacuumed the floors and some of the stringy dust webs in the ceiling framework.  I blew the carport, sidewalks and driveway clear and organized boots and shoes that are by the back door.  I also cleaned up my targets out in the yard so I can start fresh next time I’m out to shoot.  I need to head into work this afternoon and I have a 16 hour shift for tomorrow.  I don’t wish my life away but I am ready to have a weekend here soon!  I’m needing it.

You can come clean up my shop next. I am able to get in the door and have space for my band saw and drum sander that is coming next week. I have the weekend off so the rest of the shop will be overhauled and hopefully get my planer out of my living room. Half my shop equipment is in the house, it was easier to have them in the house when I was finishing the interior, then messy Michael came along and had to use my shop for storage until I could sort out the mess.

If I was closer I would certainly come help!  I’d would bring my whole crew and we could have it busted out in a fraction of the time it takes one person.  And we are cheap too.  Just some grilled burgers 🍔 and potato salad is all the expense involved!  Nah, we would just do it for free.  👊🏼

Thanks for the offer, as for food it would have been a southern fish fry with all the fixin's including homemade banana puddin'. Anyway, it gives me something to do without being outside in this crummy weather we are having lately.

Ah yes, a good ol' southern fish fry!

Both sets of my grandparents migrated from the south to Alaska in the 50's.  We were the first to leave AK in 1980 just after Mt. St Helen's erupted.  The rest of the clan came down through the 80's. 

My grandpa's brother and his wife would catch cat fish and every few years they would make a road trip up here to WA from Arkansas with a cooler full of fish.  The old folks would get every thing all put together for a big family fish fry.  It was always a special time when Uncle Earl and Aunt Laverne would come up to visit!  I miss those times...

Band saw up and running, still have few adjustments and it will be good to go. I am bundled up like is was 0 degrees, the windchill is only 45. It's tough living in the subtropics.

My short poles have an inch of dust on them, I gave up "Hard Water Fishing" decades ago!

So far I fixed a flicker, put some wire back in the air, cleared a tree out of the road, and got another crew moving on some tree trimming causing an outage.  Round two starts in an hour.  Just refueled and reenergizing for whatever comes next.

Long hours, yes.  Not all the time though and fortunately my role has changed some since the beginning.  Now my long hours could be simply waiting for the phone to ring or it could be run run run.  I used to think that I could sort of predict how a shift or set of shifts were going to go.  It’s more like life.....  the older I get the more I realize that I don’t know.  Ha ha ha!

Today I found out Jesus still works miracles and I don't know why Jesus works miracles for some people and not for others but either way a miracle happened for a family member. They had a fast spreading aggressive cancer where the Dr. told them they will only live a few more months, yet after they had chemo the Dr. ran tests to confirm the cancer was indeed gone. The Dr. was astonished saying they have never seen anyone no longer having that cancer after getting it regardless if they took chemo or not!
