They will be nice once they're fully broken in.
These particular boots ( the tomahawk from Weinbrenners thorogood 1892 line ) that I've only had for a week are made of Horweens Chromexel leather which already has lots of oils and waxes in it so I have yet to do anything to them , but Horween and many who use this leather recommend Venetian shoe cream.

On my work boots ( pitstop black justin conductor's  ) I first use some Angelus neatsfoot oil,  then some Obenauffs heavy duty LP,  and finally a top coat of Angelus neutral polish for the waterproofing the beeswax in it provides.

On my thorogood 4364 plain toe wedge soles I just give them a light treatment of Obenauffs occasionally,  neatsfoot oil would darken them more than I'd prefer.
The most important thing is the peet boot dryer and the brushes I use to keep them clean.
With the peet boot dryer I remove the orthotic insoles when I put them on and no matter how wet they've gotten or how much my feet sweat ( the wool socks do absorb a lot of the sweat ) my boots do not stink inside.

50% water change on the 180, 40L, and the 29 for the "Babies"....  thankful I am on a well and don't pay a water bill. 

Next comes the Groom thyself trimming of the "Mop Top" and go back to a "High and Tight".

So far I've run one of my offspring around, started to pump up some pcps, installed the clothes dryer heating element and got that back up and running, started a load of laundry since it's been 2 days down waiting for the part delivery.  Now I'm opening the box of a new modem/router and going to get that set up and running.  Then I hope to shoot some air rifles.

After church, I took a ...."snow day"... to day.

Yep..that's right a "Snow Day" it was.

I shoveled and blew Snow all this afternoon and early evening. 

After the driveway, front walkway, backyard patio and all door ways were cleared, I went up on the roof of the house and removed that snow too.

About seven hours worth of "snow day" today.

Right now it is -3 F outside with a 3 mph NE wind....no chance of mud or mosquitoes this time of year.
Later on, with the spring thaw ( usually mid April ) we will get plenty of mud.
The mosquitoes will be out in droves come July along with black flies, deer flies, wood ticks & deer ticks.

Hi Mike.

I'm doing better day by day. This Covid really hit JoAnne & I hard.
My energy levels are not quite fully recovered yet but they are a lot better than they were.
I just have to take a couple more breaks than I normally would.
Strength wise, I've always been a pretty strong guy.
My max strength is not quite there yet either but that is also improving each day.
JoAnne is improving much slower that I am but she is improving.
She tires VERY Easily.
The doctors said that it could take her up to 2 years to fully recover.
She is not coughing up blood any more...THAT'S A GOOD THING.
Here balance is off and nowadays she is walking with a cane.
I got her one of those electric mobility scooters for when we are out and about.

I agree Kris, our cold weather has disappeared.  Strong winds out of the south.  Clouds are rolling in bringing MORE moisture from the gulf.  Rain forecast for today around noon.
I'm sitting up in the grandkid's fort drinking coffee and the bluebirds can't figure me out.

 
The humidity is so high today it's registering in the rain gauge. LOL

Time to start prepping for the spring garden.  The weather this year really can't make up it's mind. We go back and forth between near freezing conditions and the Resputsita ( The Russian season of mud).  I toted the XS60 on my morning outing because it was warm enough today.  Hopefully it will be warm tomorrow. The rain isn't a factor.  I'll hunt and fish in a pouring rain.
