That looks good Jim! I got my van dirty one more time. Ran a service call for a walk-in freezer today. I’ll not wash mine til Dec. 2nd. I’m on stay-cation, starting tomorrow, til then. I will have to straighten up the back a little by then though. We’ll do end of the year inventory when I go back.

Went hiking this afternoon with my wife. We circled our property a few times walking on the 4-wheeler trails. Then we sat in the swing watching the robins in the yard for an hour or so. We were just enjoying each other's company. We went inside around 5pm and I grilled burgers. Retirement is great.

Finish getting the fence line cleaned up, to hot to sit a stand right, nothing is moving, I haven't seen deer in the camera this week, even the bear quit showing up. Here it is Thanksgiving and I am still wearing shorts and mowing grass.

Yea I have those too. I was going to be careful with the Hot Blue Glue but the Grandson had other ideas. 
That's called blame shifting.   

That glue is easy to make a mess where you get it on you, especially on it's can. Brake cleaner or lacquer thinner gets it off when it's been on your hands long enough where pumice soap won't do it.

Cleaning out years of junk, (my old treasures that have been collected over the years that I now classified as junk, many from my deceased father's garage sale finds) out of my shed. I lost the battle with rats gnawing everything years ago. Any tool that I kept down there has long been removed to a secure location.
Last Saturday I cut the top out of a 55 gallon drum and cut 1-1/2" air holes in it. Today I  started burning the once valued treasures.


First item that went in was some plastic bins, then 150' ancient garden hose.

It's a good thing.  My son bought my father's house and huge shop (30'x60') when we were settling my father's estate. 

I'm going to tear down my shed and put something like a 12'x20' portable building on the slab. It will be my man cave you might say.  It will have a drop shed attached to keep my zero turn and ATV plus gasoline cans and garden tools out of the weather. This will probably not happen until the spring but clearing out the junk is the 1st step.

My son's property joins mine and if I need to mechanic, do woodworking or metal fabrication I will use my Daddy's son's shop.

I wound up not shooting today. And to top it off, my first day of stay-cation just whizzed on by. I’m selling my ol’ ‘86 C10 pickup and I haven’t started it in over a year. I’ve got one kid interested in it already and of course he wants to see it run. I pulled the battery and charged it and now the starter won’t turn. So I went to town with my wife and when we got home I took a nap. Tomorrow’s another day. So I guess I’ll pull the starter and spray it & see if that helps. I’m really planning on shooting tomorrow, so hopefully this truck will start without too much work on my part. Selling it is bad enough, I never planned on working on it to sell it.

John the battery may be bad. Mine on the dump trailer read full charge but it really wasn't because it would lift a little then stop unless I unhooked the charger then it wouldn't lift at all. Once I jumped it to my mower the trailer lifted all the way so I knew despite being hooked up to the charger the battery wasn't holding it.

It’s possible, that it’s bad. I’ve had trouble with these side post batteries before, even stripped one out trying to get it tighter, which I definitely don’t want to do. I just didn’t want to spend my stay-cation working on a truck to sell. I have a couple other things I want to do around the house, but not crazy work. If I can shoot a little each day and do a little, that’s what I want to. I’ll get on it early in the morning and I’m only going to do so much.

We had a nice fire.  It still burning down actually.  It started to rain so we came in.  I procrastinated on raking leaves all day and now it's too late.  Oh well, guess I'll drop a couple shots of espresso in some egg nog and chill until dinner is ready.
