Forum member “caniborrowsomeammo” wants me to join him and apply for a muzzle-loader only hunt in Northwest California next year. He bought himself one of those fancy, in-line smoke-poles. I prefer traditional so, I took the .54 Renegade down for a good cleaning, inside and out..It was a kit and I finished it myself back in 1990...We have to use non-lead bullets (yes, even for muzzle-loaders) here in the Republik so I will be shooting a 300 grain Barnes copper bullet in a SABOT...First time for everything..
Chris, he is 30 something and no experience on heavy equipment, his excuse was he thought it was an old fence on the property line. Nope, it was mine and the survey markers verified it. I showed him the survey stakes, not a word out of him after that. I was polite about it and made sure he didn't have any problems me being on his property to fix my fence. He is not the brightest bulb on the planet for sure. All that land clearing was so he could put up a fence for a horse for his wife and daughters, well between the covid mess, neighbors target practicing across his property, and flooding, the horse did not materialize. I don't have to worry about territory problems with him, his fence is up and he doesn't venture to the back anymore.

Sheesh I guess he couldn't be bothered to apologize either then since he didn't help fix it?
I didn't expect him to do anything at all, I just needed his permission to go onto his side and pull the dirt off of the fence without being shot or arrested for trespassing. I think to some extent he knew he was wrong but didn't know how to go about making it right. It's all in how people are brought up these days. Being accountable for your actions is no longer being taught or practiced anymore.
In the mean time I did about 2 hours of Wed Cutting using the new 26" Powered Weed Eater.Tomorrow I will another couple of hours, working back to half a days works.Won't be long and the greenery will start growing (WEEDS) and the Brush Hog will come out; a lot easier to cut the weeds with a Tractor Attachment but the smaller Weed Eater get along the Fence Lines and around the LARGE piles of Rock in the fields.
I had to do a couple out door PVC plumbing repairs. One because someone broke a riser that had a hose bib and vintage water fountain on it. Underground the riser pipe was sandwiched between two very large tree roots that had grown and cracked it, so it is a good thing I had to dig it up and discovered that before it got worse. Because of the roots I had to relocate the hose bib and drinking fountain so that meant digging 2' wide 7' long and a little over 2' deep! The other was because I needed to replace a previously "repaired" water main shut off manifold where I had used compression fittings but they were not holding up to my water pressure. I am glad one of my grandsons did most of the digging today!I have some a few other outdoor/well related plumbing maintenance issues that I noticed and need to get fix soon before we get surprised with no water on day.

Not fun! My plumbers had to do that earlier this year and the pipe was 4ft deep! At least the ground wasn't hard due to the leak but I was happy to pay them to fuss and cuss with that instead of me. Meanwhile I had two toilets with flappers that were hanging up instead of falling back down so I replaced them with firm thin mounted flappers to work right and last longer than the previous flimsy ones.
How did the clutch job go Dan?
Disposable nitril gloves next time Dan. Finally got the coon that's been digging holes in my yard. First shot of the 12ga got him but I put another 5 in for my trouble.
Laundry... and a bunch of it. With Hoosier Momma being down the "B" work falls on me. One red towel in the whites and I should be clear for another decade. LOL
What did I do today? I laughed until I hurt and cried watching this drunk hog get accidentally rolled down that hill! He said "Sh*t the bed almighty!" is when I lost it. I love his Southern accent too!
