I took a chance and went with these from Harbor Freight. I was a bit reluctant so I bought 2 and hung them. I bought 2 for my shop, I can see now and no more tubes to buy either. I got mine for $19.99 with coupon. At least you can get in your shop, I am still climbing over stuff in mine. I am waiting for a few weeks of dry weather to pull everything out, get it sorted, and throw out the unused junk.

My son replaced all his double tube 8' florescent in his welding shop with these from harbor Harbor Freight.

Had two out of 12 go bad not long after hanging them, Harbor Freight replaced them no charge. Thar was 6 months ago, no more have gone out.

They are definitely worth their money.

Dan I had one of those 8ft bulbs bust on me and cut my finger to the bone which left a permanent scar so that's when I got rid of all those fixtures and installed basic 2 bulb fixtures with bright LED bulbs.

I don't even know if you can buy those 8 ft florescent bulbs anymore. I am a tremendous LED fan, I replace all incandescent bulbs when they go out with LEDs, but I have a lot of incandescent bulbs still in service.
I've never cut myself with a florescent bulb but I can see how it could.

We don’t have a microwave in the house but we do have one in the shop. This morning before I left for work I was heading out there to heat up a cup of coffee. I was excited to see how bright those new LEDs were. I walked out to the shop, opened the door and flipped the switch. WHOA, blinded by the light! These fixtures have a pull chain on each individual light. I think for general lighting, like heating up coffee in the AM, I will switch a couple off with the pull chain and leave 3-4 on that will be operated with the switch. If I need more light I can always pull a couple chains to make it brighter. I don’t need to turn the sun on just to heat some coffee or look for a screwdriver. Ha!

Packed boxes of food for distribution @ a local food bank. One of those drive thru ones because of Covid, just open the trunk or rear hatch and load the boxes type of thing. Give thanks 'ya got enuf to eat, there's a lot of our fellow Americans who don't.

Went see my favorite Phlebotomist and donated 3 vials for testing, she is a good sticker, no bruising. Then visited my favorite insurance agent and paid the tractor insurance for the year. Then came home and watched it rain, so much for target practice. I did get my permanent crown yesterday so I am done with the dentist until I break another one again. And at last, sitting here waiting to see what Zeta will to this area. Just another exciting day on the frontier.

Kris, I just can't stop myself from watching the weather channel on TV so I will know what the storm is doing. There is a little good along with the bad - it is predicted that the storm will pick up forward speed to maybe 20 mph. That would mean less rain along the costal areas of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and your home state too.
Yeah, I watch the Gulf weather because I have a bunch of family that lives along the Gulf Coast.

Got my MRI on my Noggin yesterday.

Today got the results. Showed "Brain Cell Atrophy: nerve cell death/tissue loss. Common with Dementia/Alzheimer's/Parkinson's".

Well you don't say Doc... my brain cells!
So....how do I tell you that I eliminated as many of those little guys as I could for 20 years starting in 1978.

Now in 2020 I guess I am going to start paying for it.

Well Scott that doesn’t sound like a glowing report. Time to get working to keep whatcha got. Might mean less time at the lodge and more time pounding feet... that’s getting out and staying purposely active in body and mind. You got this!

I have toned down the booze A LOT in the last 3 months because of the symptoms I thought was the cause....

I am committing the help of focusing on Air guns and my newest bike build to keep them working what I got.

Sorry to read that Scott, but like bReTt said, you got this ! One thing I’ve been doing for some exercise is taking the dog for a 2 mile woods walk a few times a week.
What bike are you building or should I say which Beezer ?

Sorry to hear this Scott.
Seems like everytime I go to the doctor I get some kind of bad news. This past time, like many prior times, she told me that I need to eliminate some of the stress in my life. I'm going to do just that.. I'm going to stop going to the doctor.

I called yesterday because we hadn't heard the results of Betty Lou's blood work and she's waiting on that so she can renew her meds.
The doctor said.. "Oh yeah, she needs to come back in so we can take more blood". Well, turns out the lab mixed her blood sample up with someone else's. Had they wrote her prescription based on those results she would have been taking someone else's meds.
How's that for stress?
