This past weekend we planted the food plots in our deer woods. Yesterday I finished planting my food plot for the deer we see in our backyard. I don't hunt these, we just enjoy watching them. Our property where I hunt deer(96 acres) is where my wife was raised.  It's about 4-1/2 miles from here. It joins her cousin's property (100 acres) so we are allowed to hunt it also.

Outstanding, Dan! Ayrabella & I feed the deer 2x (Wednesday & Saturday afternoon) weekly on our property just to see them come visit too. We don’t shoot them, they know it’s safe, so sometimes they bed down in our front yard at night. We have seen some big ones and for $6-$9 it’s worth it. Ayrabella likes it when the babies show up with their momma deer. Someday I’ll push back the trees and scrub brush and put down a plot like you did on the side of our property. For now it’s just fun to go out with a bucket and just throw it out there after we fill the bird feeders. Ayrabella has been helping me do this since she could walk. (They’re her birds, and her deer).

That's great. You are making some good memories with her.

 I place a corn feeder about 70 yards from our patio that allows us to watch them. We like it when the babies show up with their momma deer also.

Learned a Korean vet I knew passed away. Dude was a trip and always enjoying razzing around with people. Found some ammo for the 45, 223 and 12ga buckshot at a discount for some reloads I gave them. Most places are nearly completely out of ammo so I had some good luck finding those. Installed new performance ceramic pads on my car after cleaning the calipers and hardware. That will take away the squealing of the previous pads. Caught another mole in a trap so that's #16 in around 3 months. I'm keeping the local possum happy with those free meals.

Saw one of these 45 Colt lever action pistols today. Was $500 so I passed on it but was neat to cycle and the trigger felt surprisingly light.

It’s actually west and headed north of us, but still getting some stiff wind from it here.
From what I can tell from the projections on it, Jackson Ms. will catch the south side of it, which is about 65 miles north of us.... too close for comfort.

Yard work for a little while, then break out the squirrel artillery. It's squirrel season here, I haven't hunted since the hurricane so its dig around the house for all the hunting stuff and make sure all is in good working order. Headed for the cousin's place next week to clean out their invasion.

1) Ran to Walmart for 10 lbs of 80/20 burger and sloppy joe fixings to feed my army tomorrow. (Grand Daughter's birthday party)
2) Got the Family room emptied and dug out the carpet shampooer, filled it with hot water and the shampoo, (see "My Dog Is Broke" post) THEN only to discover one of my daughters burnt out the Gates cogged belt when we loaned it to her. 
3) Put everything back in place and ordered a miniature cogged belt on Amazon.
4) Dog ran away.
5) Wiped down the interior plastic on the new-2-me truck with McGuire's... smells nice!
6) Took the clothes-dryer duct hose off and cleaned it out including the vent.
7) Dog came home

All before noon.

Now I can "play" until I have to cook at the Lodge at 5:00 for a bunch of old foggies (my Mom's) class of '58 reunion.

I'm at the end of a seven day week.  Stuck in the Ranger Station again.  I've been doing a lot of drawing at work.  I've been developing some ideas that I have for paintings.  Today I finished a pastel portrait of my daughter that I started last week.  I will have to force myself to paint.  It's easy to sit and sketch when I'm at work but on my days off there seems to be no time to break out the easel and just paint.

That "breathable air" is not just oxygen, right? Just don't take any chances with have an explosion. I have no experience with dive shops or diving so excuse me if the question is ignorant.
