Careful Bill.Blown Opel GT's have been a long time set up in the Dragster linage. Buddy of mine had a "Normally aspirated" 327 in one... I bet a blown aluminum Buick 3.8 V-6 out of a say....a Typhoon would be almost perfect setup.
Back in the eighties I saw a home built super cart in the pits at Willow Springs. The frame was an aluminum appliance dolly (!). The engine was a three cylinder Suzuki two stroke 750 Water Buffalo mill bored out to 840 cc. The owner claimed 170 horsepower and 140 mph. Two inches off the asphalt, no suspension, running 140 on a converted appliance dolly! That is my kind of ride!
Back in the late 70's a friend and I built a 7 foot rail dragster powered by a 1000 cc Kawasaki engine. That went well a few times.
Nope... mine came out of my back pocket and went out the back of the seat opening... The next lap it found it's way into the deck and the blades chomped it up. "It'll Buff Out!"
I used to wrench on Baja bugs with a guy that had a pet Opel GT. You are wise to drop another power plant in there.Anyhoo... More tiny house construction today. The last hurricane delayed our work as we had to deal with a saturated septic tank drain and overflowing toilets. We finished the plumbing and had a celebratory flush of the new toilet. Now I have to get an electrician out to hook up the electric hot water on demand system
I bought a camo case for mine thinking it was a cool idea..... not so much.... I spend alot of time looking for it...
