The neighborhood cat got this big lizard, chewed some guts out of it then it's rear leg while it was still alive the poor critter so I stomped it's head in. She ate it then later threw it up so hopefully she'll learn to stop killing my much needed bug eating lizards. She yakked it up on my patio too instead of the yard so I had to wash it all off. I sprayed some water on her as well for my trouble.

Later while she was snoozing by my door a squirrel ran right by her and she took off real fast almost getting it so the nutter enjoyed the thrill it sought. I got another mole today so that makes 9 killed in around 3wks now with the traps.

Years ago my daughters cat ended up on an I.V. overnight at the Vet because of eating a lizard. The Vet said lizards can make cats sick enough to kill them.

Been painting the facia boards on the house and garage. Today put the final coat on the east facing board and when I went to step down off the ladder, the top shoe lace hook caught on the side of the ladder and I came real close to falling. It locked me to the ladder but I was off balance and had a heck of a time getting myself unhooked plus not fall over to the side. I normally don't wear the boots I had on but was in a hurry to get the paint work done and forgot I had them on instead of my other shoes. I guess it being 103 out affected my thinking. Yes, I know you are not supposed to paint above 90 but a handy man was coming over to give a bid on installing rain gutters and I needed to finish before he got there.🥵🥵

Dan I didn't know that. It's a good thing she yakked it up then as it was a big one. She was fine today and ate several bugs like she does every day. A small butterfly was taunting her many times landing near her. She finally caught it with both paws but accidentally let it go. 

Robert close call. I'd say next time pull your pant legs down over your boots to avoid future snags. You got it done and that's all that matters.

1)  I see Hot Air Balloons every morning, well almost, this morning at 5:45 I got to see something I have never seen, the "Glow of the Burner in a Hot Air Balloon". 



2) Got a Sun Rise out of the deal the second time I went out with he dog:



3) Got a shot of five Balloons up, I have seen up to fifteen up but this is a Covid morning Shot !  LoL !




added:  What is up with the pictures, one - I can't see more than two pictures and two - the pictures are all spun-around !   I know my pictures are showing on my computer as in the correct position so I'm lost here !

The first pic looks like you're at the equator and the second looks like you're from the land down under. 

Don't you just hate it when the pics rotation is wrong.

I was looking at the pics and told my wife that looks like it is close to where we live, then I noticed you were from Temecula. I see the same hot air balloons you do when they are high enough from just south of Hemet, Hi, neighbor!

I was wearing shorts!🤪 My wife has had something similar happen getting out of her keep. The same lace hook catching on the netting on the door when getting out of her keep.

This weekend was fun.  Sonja and I went shopping for groceries Saturday; tropical storm whatsit was dumping entire oceans of water all over VA.  I drove the F-150 and was quite thankful for the ground clearance.  One of the three entrance to our 'hood was under 18" of water.  Down the road from the other 2- the normal way out- 2 feet of rushing water.  I watched a few idjits try and let them enjoy the fruit of their labors.  Water, unlike air, does not compress worth a darn an one of them yokels learned the hard way. 

We got what we needed, headed back, and a new crop of idjits were stuck in new and exciting places.  One kid in a 2020 Durango with 30-day tags was off in the creek a good 30 yards.  Nose buried at a 45* angle...  You can buy a nice truck but you can't buy brains.

Yesterday, Sonja fulfilled her dream of learning to skateboard by her 50th birthday.  We rode nearly 8 miles on our longboards in light misty rain and had a blast!

I'm glad to be inside with no reason to go out right now. It is 107 at 1:54 P.M. here at my house in the shade 20% humidity (I have a wireless weather sensor out there). with a high of 109. Tomorrow the high is predicted to be 111. My wife just told me that she saw something about the electric company doing rolling brown outs, which makes me glad I can run my evaporative cooler off one of my generators.

Well,we had cold snap and it dropped all the way down to a chilly 99 so went back out and finished installing the 120 feet of gutters. 50 on the garayand 70 on the house. So glad it's done 🥵🥵👍👍👍👍. Now I just need to finish painting the house, garage, and airgun shed.

Got up bout' eleven.  Rolled one to start the day.  Too dang hot to go outside.  But this new scope isn't going to zero its self.

nice 80* day so i dismantled my backstop.  it was a 4' high flagstone wall that ran about 20' across the back of yard against the neighbors 6' wood fence.  never meant for it to be a backstop, just stacked the flagstone until i got around to cutting and fitting it for landscape border.   today i cut and placed 147' flagstone border.  the pieces are 2 1/2 to 3" thick and 8" wide with some being over 24" long.  i'm going to be sore tomorrow, and i still have 31' to do. 


i think i'll fill the bathtub with icy-hot and soak 'til morning.

mine will do the same thing when taken with a phone.  i've even tried re-orientating them on the computer before posting, but they always post sideways.

I'm not sure if it's just my phone or not, but I find that to post pictures here and have them right side up, I have to take pictures in the landscape mode (phone held sideways) and my exposure button has to be by my right hand.
