Killed a western diamond back rattle snake. Second one in just 2 weeks
The baseball game lasted longer than the time limit because of a slight delay due to electrical activity in the sky - lightning and thunder. My grandson's team won 5 - 2. He was the starting pitcher. For the game, he pitched 75 pitches before being relieved. He pitched a no hitter. While he was pitching, he shut out the other team. He struck out nine and put out another who hit the ball back to the pitcher - he threw the kid out at first. And in addition to all that, he hit an in the park HOME RUN. Yes, I am a proud grandfather.
I'm almost too embarrassed to say While mowing lawn this afternoon, I was making my outside rounds and got a little too close to my barely used Remington big bore field target took a small chunk of metal off the front hinge area, and bent it a bit , but think I can heat it up and have roast pig and a working target again Last weekend I cut the corner too short with my John Deere AMT and squashed my .22 rimfire spinners, another project
The drive belt on my Cub Cadet mower shredded so while trying to replace it I discovered the square hole on the tensioner was blocked by the pulley which it's not supposed to be as according to their diagram it's for use with a socket wrench to stick in the hole to pry back the tensioner where you can put the belt on. So what was supposed to be a 1 minute job turned into a 30 minute ordeal from hades that wore me out to the point of nearly puking repeatedly using a pry bar with all my strength to finally get the belt on, all while getting cuts on my elbows and hands from the sharp edges on the transmissions and other parts that they couldn't be bothered to smooth down at the factory. I told them I wish I knew the guy at the factory that put that faulty tensioner on there because I'd like to beat him up where he'd be as sore and cut up as me to know how it feels. I told them that's not a good way to get repeat customers so they need to improve their quality control. I have no use for idiots who do krap work unnecessarily screwing their customers when it's completely preventable.
Just got done paying all the bills for August....
Went to the Golf Course where I grill and decreased my "work station" , replaced the mats, and cleaned the massive grill.
