Sonja and I took a walk through the 'hood last night.  Two folks enjoying each other's company.  We talked about airguns, food, and how so many of our neighbors sequester away indoors and forget how to live outside and enjoy the fresh air.

She's a nurse, and we laugh frequently about the little things, from people driving alone with masks on to little rituals of people hand-sanitizing.  Regular soap and water is much more effective but seems to be forgotten

One of the ramps broke and the "mark" really messed up the bed. Top box IMO is trash now but the bottom is still in good condition. Im really ticked as this is a 20yo Ohio truck with less rust than a 5yo one...

Repaired another lawn toy, my rear tine tiller needed a new carb, found one on ebay along with all the other parts to complete the job. Fired right up on the second pull and ran like a new one. So I put it to the test to see if it could handle the ground I needed to till, yep works great. Me so happy now I can get the small spots the tractor can't get.

Nope I am on some really good meds that help me regulate my emotions very well. It happened I was more concerned about my brother on the south end of it he was out of the way and ok. Our agreement was to let it fall and we did. He cussed more than I did it is an item to me and one I can replace tomorrow I cannot replace my brother or fix him if he got hurt. Sure I'm more upset of the damage to the bed of my truck as I cant easily repair that, than the damage to a cheap tool box. I am glad we were not hurt and were able to get it off the truck and into storage. I nearly righted the lower by my self and empty it weighs 500 pounds.


I have an idea for side busines insanity strong ramps. With a slogan do you have something so heavy that you absolutely have to load in your truck? Have no fear these ramps will support a semi...

Reminds me of my 2001...sold it to get out of California and by now either still well taken care of or demolished by someone just wanting a 4x4 to beat on. Only had 2 small holes the size of a quarter and 108,000 on it when I sold it in 2014.

Finally I can say I got a picture of bigfoot and it's even wearing a mask which I must admit made me chuckle quite a bit. Saw this in someone's yard today and had to turn around to take the pic.

Mrs. Oldgringo woke up sickly.  Mid-morning, I took her to the hospital for lab work.  I tried to shoot my open sighted 35E while waiting on the Drs. reply.  Got the lab report late afternoon, she has a bad bladder infection, went to CVS for Dr. prescribed medicines.  Thank goodness, it isn't Covid-19?

She took some pills and she's still bad sick with 103° fever, went to the E.R. at 2100 hrs.  She's bad sick but if she takes Ibuprofen and Tylenol alternately every four hours, she might be well in ~48 hours.  Please Lord, I not only love but I need this woman.

What did y'all do today?

Now, I'm trying to stay awake, and sober enough, to administer her 0200 dosages.  She's done the same for me.

I laughed.  Yes, I agree on every thing you pointed out.  Especially how people scooped up the hand sanitizers for at home use.

Sorry Matt, I feel your pain. I notice the dings I have put on my 2003 GMC Sierra far more than the ones others have.

Matt, I'll buy as set of Insanity Ramps the millisecond they come up for sale.  I had a S-10, and at $450 it is easily one of the best vehicles I ever owned.  No AC, but 5 speed, 1st year fuel injection, and if I drove legal speeds, 28 MPG was not uncommon.  I miss that truck a lot, but I got a 20 year old new to me F-150 that looks nearly cherry.  Like you said, trucks are just items.  I've just happy to hear you are both okay.

Greg- I hope your missus has a speedy recovery.  You've praised her virtues many a time on these forums!

Sonja got her braces off yesterday; she had to wear them an extended 3 months thanks to COVID, so she was quite happy!  For celebration, she ate an apple and popcorn, then joined me after I wrapped up work by assisting in the demolition of an old chicken coop that was incredibly jury-rigged by her ex as well as extremely overbuilt.  We used everything from her 36" wrecking bar to the 4 foot "Mutt" pry-bar, a 24" crow-bar, some hammers, and of course, my Sawzall.  We are reclaiming the yard one job at a time, and the dogs seemed to enjoy getting back a little more space since that chunk of yard is abreast a pear tree and a bunch of mint.  One in particular, Butters (a Boston Terrier-Pug mix) decided he wanted to help us so while the others were doing dog-things, Butters stayed close at hand and alerted us to things like a ball he lost many moons ago.  We wrapped up when the boys cooked a dinner of leftovers and we hung out by the firepit enjoying some cold ciders. 

Fun-filled factoid: I encouraged gentle demolition of the coop as I intend to use the lumber for building a LARGE pellet backstop.

Thanks for the prayers and well wishes.  Her temperature is back down to normal but she still doesn't feel good.  Hopefully, this to shall pass.

Praying for Mrs.Oldgringo and you Greg.  You are facing my greatest fear. Something happening to my beloved.
Anyhoo I did battle with the mentally challenged seven headed monster they call WORKERS COMPENSATION today.  I was notified earlier this week that I was due back at work two weeks ago.  After much toing and froing, buck passing and hair pulling,  the powers that be decided that no, I didn't need to go back yet.  That's what I've been telling them.  A minor victory over the bureaucracy but I must be vigilant.  They will be back tomorrow stronger, dumber, even more incompetent! LOL.  I sure hope you don't have to put up with this "feces" Steve.
