Yesterday I did the final sanding on the old .22 LR project with 1200 wet/dry. I then thoroughly de-greased it with acetone and again this morning.
Here in a little bit I will start using the Brownells Oxy-blue. It is in front of the heater warming up now ...

my wife took me to brunch for my b-day. man, i can't believe i'm 60 already! this is the one day of the year i can do anything without repercussions, so until the kids and grand-kids arrive, i'm blasting out surf music on the vintage stereo and playing along on the telecaster.

gotta go, pipeline is about to start!

We went mud running in the state forest. Got in trouble twice. Somehow we got onto some private land (no marking) and the landowner ran us down with his pickup.... he was not a happy man.
Then we were headed back to the loading area to pack it up. The Fish and Game Warden stopped us. Turns out today was the last day of gun hunting and we weren't suppose to be there. We missed reading this date at the sign in box. There was another group there... 2 utvs and 2 atvs... they were ripping it up pretty good and a couple of the hunters reported them.... we just happened to be the ones he caught. Anyhow, he educated us, told us to come back tomorrow and to pay attention to the posting.. the next gun dates are Feb 1 - 10.
We told him about our run in with the farmer. He said that farmer has been on that land for the at least the 25 years he has been a warden. He said he wasn't surprised, the old guy has put up with alot of stuff over the years.
Turned out, private property does not have to be posted in the state of Alabama. I asked if he had got a call from the farmer.... He laughed and said "no, he only calls when he has someone at gunpoint"...

Doc happy with the results, good for another 6 months. Shopped for animal food and some air gun stuff. Come home and it was nap time for me, needed it after having this cold for 3 weeks. Just enjoying the week off.

When I was in the Army at Ft Drum those of us with military drivers license had to go and do a class on snow plowing. I didnt want to do it because you would plow snow all night then have a full duty day the next day. So when it was my turn to get in the LMTV I pinned it to the wood got to about 30 mph dropped the plow in 18" of snow and ripped the air brake. I lost my military DL and didn't have to plow snow, publicly I got my 4th point of contact chewed but in private my squad leader could not stop laughing about it.

LOL good one, Yeah I was just cleaning up the mess 2 others spent 2 hours making, I'm lucky its all just parking and farm lanes and the like.
