Painted the exposed (previously painted) concrete house foundation on the front of the house.  It flows much better with the house color now.  Only 3 sides left to go!

Started mowing at 10pm last night,  stopped this morning at 12:10am. I love mowing at night. I have a 5 LED lights, My zero turn looks like an alien spacecraft going to and fro. I'll finish tomorrow night. Only 3 hours left.

You have bugs all over you from the lights? Saw a guy down the road just last night with the same setup that blinded me while passing him. All I need to drive my mower at night is my bright hunting light that I strap onto my head but it attracts bugs to my face.

No bugs at all. Could be the LEDs I don't know. I cut 4 acres last year, this year I took in another acre.  I tried last year with the headlight....didn't work that great. My son put LED lights on his zero turn last year, no bugs bothered him then or now.
I'm on my way out the door now to finish the yard.

Just depends on the head light you get as many aren't that good. Most head lights aren't bright but I eventually found a couple that will spot around 1/8 mile down the road. One has a great flood mode too where it lights up pretty much everything in front of me and the trees 100yds in front of me too.

Yesterday I mowed our tiny VFW Hall (volunteer work), trip to the library, eliminated a tomato plant that died on us, pulled weeds in the vegetable garden. Harvested a bucket full of beets and wife canned them. Took wife out to dinner 'cause it was so hot in the kitchen all afternoon from canning.

Spent a couple of hours cutting, splitting, and stacking firewood. Time now for a nap.

spent the whole morning at menards picking up supplies to resurface the deck.  while there i clipped a post and so that's another $500 deductible out the wallet.  then i placed a claim to have it fixed (hopefully before i leave for montana on the 25th)  then i spent another 1/2 hour on the phone trying to get MY money out of my fund.  another phone call to order tires for the truck, a 3rd call to order a custom axle for our sailboat trailer.  finally getting to the refinishing of the oak wall phone we're giving to our daughter as a house warming gift.[size=78%]  [/size][/size]coming out of the basement to a very warm upstairs.  the batteries in the programmable thermostat died and i don't have spares on hand.  ugh.  one of those days.[size=78%]

I have spent the last 2 days shoveling out the house looking for woodwork accessories and tools. It's amazing how stuff accumulates over the years. My shop is the same way right now. Oh well, nothing like a house over haul to deal with.

The s10 was giving me fits when starting and I knew the fuel pump wasnt in the greatest condition. 20 years old and all. Get to orileys shut it off go in and wouldn't you guess it. It said ok cool he bought a new one I quit. So pulled the bed off and changed it in the parking lot. I have no idea why but chevy determaned that it needed 8 bolts to hold that bed on. Glad my brother came to help or it would have taken much longer and I would have gotten rained on.

Hung this 50's TT KELLY WORKS handmade peeling pattern today , it's a big one at 4lb. I have no practical use for an axe this size but I love vintage axes anyways.


And I also attached one of those magic mesh screen things on the patio since the sliding screen is doesn't like to stay on no matter what.

My Dodge Ram now has a hatch in the box to access the fuel tank.

My Dodge Ram now has a hatch in the box to access the fuel tank.

It would have been cheaper for a tow than to buy the tools to cut a hole in the bed lol. A sump and external pump to me makes a lot more sense but I am only a mechanic not the engineer or been counter. I suppose for 160k and 20 years it had a good life. Also all the richard heads that designed it are retired or dead by now.

Spent the day mowing, weed eating, edging and blowing off the debris from several acres along with cleaning the pool and some home organizing. Grilled up a rib eye with french fries for my trouble. Wore plum out but grateful to have the stamina to get it all done despite this hot humidity because I know what it's like not being able to do anything. I'll be so glad when fall gets here with those cooler temps, less bugs and less of that kind of upkeep.

Then tilt the bed like a dump truck so I could get at the pump. Finally I got it fixed right but never put all the bolts back in.

Got a bottle of 151° rum and relaxing. No work tomorrow otherwise busted boody all day moving pallets back and forth. We dont/cant have an electric power jack, old busted wheels make things a pain to drag by hand its easier pushing a car in neutral back and forth than doing my job. Would of preferred to move cases of water all day than that workout, my entire legs hurt instead of just my shoulders.

Easy on the rum or tomorrow will be an even worse day.

I have 6 guys doing some organizing and inventory counting at the plant today. At some point this morning (around 8 am) I'll go check in with them. It may be a quick in and out or it may be a 4 hour deal if things aren't going well.
It's  now 5:30am.
I have all the plugs and filters out of my 4 wheeler so it can dry out after plunging into the river last weekend. I need to get that buttoned back up before the mud house building bugs begin taking up residence in the open holes.
Betty Lou wants to go fishing. That means getting the little boat and gear ready for Sunday morning.
I also need to get some mowing done.

A/C on and cooling the shop down so I can get the wheeler back together.
8 acres mowed.
Been to the plant twice to check on the reorganizing project.
Gonna grab something to eat then get to the wheeler.
The I'll pull the boat out and prep it for fishing in the morning.
After that, another trip to the plant. They're doing a good job. They should finish up before 2pm. They just completed the inventory part of it.
Maybe go watch the local stock car races tonight and some atv off roading tomorrow after fishing.
