Started mowing at 10pm last night,  stopped this morning at 12:10am. I love mowing at night. I have a 5 LED lights, My zero turn looks like an alien spacecraft going to and fro. I'll finish tomorrow night. Only 3 hours left.

Started mowing at 10pm last night,  stopped this morning at 12:10am. I love mowing at night. I have a 5 LED lights, My zero turn looks like an alien spacecraft going to and fro. I'll finish tomorrow night. Only 3 hours left.

You have bugs all over you from the lights? Saw a guy down the road just last night with the same setup that blinded me while passing him. All I need to drive my mower at night is my bright hunting light that I strap onto my head but it attracts bugs to my face. So does my red hunting light, just not as many bugs.

My uncle's zero turn needed a new deck belt, mulch blades, throttle cable, floor pan rattle fixed, and one of his control arm links adjusted where the mower would drive straight so I took care of it.

Took the deck off my 12yr old zero turn to replace a destroyed pulley and the new deck belt it took with it, touched up some spots that needed paint, cleaned off the debris underneath the deck, grinded the surface clean then primed and painted it. Runs like a dream again.

My other mower I just removed the old rusted muffler, shield and bumper, hammered the bends out of the last two then grinded off the bad paint spots and repainted them. Took the vid below of the mower running without the muffler sounding like a harley kicking out blue flames so loud I had to wear ear plugs. Reinstalled the new muffler, shield and bumper. Bought all new spindles and pulleys and I'm almost done stripping the bad paint off the deck. Will paint it then reinstall the parts and get it mowing again to last another 10yrs.

No bugs at all. Could be the LEDs I don't know. I cut 4 acres last year, this year I took in another acre.  I tried last year with the headlight....didn't work that great. My son put LED lights on his zero turn last year, no bugs bothered him then or now.
I'm on my way out the door now to finish the yard.

Went to work, did work related things, then had a "scientific test" to replicate something that happened a few weeks ago.

We had a pallet in our back room that had armNhammer soap on the bottom of the pallet and it leaked everywhere, four hours later we were able to move/clean it up, after moping we saw it "bleached" the floor clean where the puddles sat. It didnt remove the lining on the floor like vinegar does which turns the floors black (idk what its lined with). So i bought a bottle of the soap and poured a 1/4 of it onto one of the back room squares to "test" how much it cleans. A 20x20 foot square and i used a push broom to move it around even. After 20 minutes i re scrubbed it with the broom and alot of dirt came off... the soap has baking soda so i boughta bottle of hydrogen peroxide before i left and spread some of that too. Alot more dirt came up told the kid closing to mop it up before he leaves, itl be sitting 4 hours like the previous spill before getting cleaned.

I'd be real interested in knowing what is coating that floor and where you work.
I am in the flooring business and travel the country doing that when not demoing stuff.
I've never heard this kind of reaction to the stuff we use.

Maybe you have a strictly concrete floor with years of grime built up.
Vinegar being an acid can react with concrete and maybe your seeing grime come up and a stain resulting from the acidic reactions.
The other 2 are considered a base. Not an acid so may react with the grime and dirt but not the concrete.
There is no commercial floor coating I know of that would react in the way you describe.

A lot of pallets are made from oak.  It could possibly be reacting with the tannins in the wood making it do what it did.  Just a thought.  I have no idea really.
