Yard destruction before the rain kicks in this afternoon. Inspect trees for beetle damage, I have 2 now that have the pests in them, unfortunately one is dangerously close to the house. Half of this tree missed the house during the hurricane. Every pine tree is doomed with me, every time I find a seedling it's yanked, I am done with pine trees. Bill, I would rather put up with a Magnolia than a pine tree, I will be more than happy to trade with ya.

Just curious, but what is it about pine trees you don't like?

They are number one for lighting hits. Pines and Cypress tress are most lightning struck trees in the state. They are not very strong trees in high winds, tops break out of them most of the time, they are heavily attacked by fungus and insects, they shed their needles year round so you are raking constantly or mulch mowing, the green pine cones become flying projectiles in bad weather, mature cones and broken branches are constantly falling down, the roots can destroy a lawn mower in a hurry, you can trip over the roots and be injured from the fall. The only thing they are good for is lumber and paper and that is it. Since the hurricane, I am still cleaning up fallen branches and cones, I haven't even cleaned up the downed trees yet. Some parts of my property I have to get other vegetation out of the way just to get the downed stuff. Hardwoods to me are less messy and most are pest resistant.

Went to a funeral. Recharged the ac in my s10 this time with some uv dye and sealer while I know that stuff isn't particularly good it was all in one can. Installed a keypad for the grage door put my beer fridge next to the chemical cabinet as I dont have the ambition to pull out of my toolboxs and reconfigure the legs on my work bench today and it may just stay where it is but get a platform to stand on. I want to take off the logo and replace it with letters that say beer or Coors maybe both.

I washed our boat for the first time in about nine months. Opened one of the fish boxes in the bow area and found a pine tree branch that was just over an inch thick and 3 feet long with pine needles still on it. Apparently the wind blew it open during the storm. I just haven't had time to deal with it until now.

I gave a haircut to 4 of the boys this morning, came into work for,the evening and now I’m surfing the forums and YouTube while on standby and waiting for time to go home and start a weekend.  I’m dreaming of pellets flying through the air and hitting bullseye 🎯.

Looks good and clean place.  I like it.  I should bite the bullet and buy some steel patio furniture like that.  We have some that is wood and I’m getting tired of repairing and repainting it.  I think this will be its last year then it will go bye bye.  It has served us well for many years but it’s life is coming to an end here soon.

Looks good and clean place.  I like it.  I should bite the bullet and buy some steel patio furniture like that.  We have some that is wood and I’m getting tired of repairing and repainting it.  I think this will be its last year then it will go bye bye.  It has served us well for many years but it’s life is coming to an end here soon.

Thanks, It was no easy task. Worked on them for about 5 hours a day for 7 days.
It's cost roughly $165.00 to paint them.
•Primer - $49. 
•Paint - $40 
•Brushes,  roller cover, disposable roller tray, mineral spirts, grinding disc. - $60.   
•3 Face mask - $6
Then I ordered the little plastic gliders that drive on the botton of the legs, that was another $40. So all in all, about $200 But they are like brand new now.

Patched in some siding, flashed some too, primed and painted.  Cleaned up a mess now I need to head back to HD and get some material to enclose a couple sides to my covered storage area.  Isn’t home ownership great!  🙄🙏
