Went to Walmart.  Haven’t been in over a month.  Inflation is back with a vengeance.

One admittedly overloaded shopping cart full cost me over 500 bucks.

I got three tins of pellets and that blew the airgun budget for next month.

Suffering from wallet shock I decided to put off changing the oil in the truck until after payday

Scott the tall weeds make you have to mow real slow? I could've mowed two of my mother's yards in the time it took me to mow it thanks to that. Some of the weeds needing mowing again to cut em all the way down. Yep I need to weed eat also. Now heading to my place to mow more and burn boxes now that the flood has gone.

Bill maybe he was just in a hurry to Ford after getting a text from a sweet thang who knows hehe. Post a pic of that bad boy when you get a chance now that you got it all dressed up. Any plans for bigger tires or would that rob some power?

 The boss and Nick picked up the new farm truck today, it took them awhile, I began to worry that they stopped for diesel and filled it with gas

Vet visit with Millie.  Spent most of the day and $1700+ there.  She seems to be doing a bit better now that she has some ‘roids, antibiotics and appetite stimulant going on. 

After that was a stop for refreshing fruity beverages, a trip to the bike track with a couple boys and a trip to the store for some dinner fixin’s.  Back to the grind tomorrow.

Taller tires would make it go a little faster but that's not really the goal. It has the factory size tires on it and the plan is to run those. Tony put new tires on before I got it. Only thing I am doing is to take the tubes out so I can plug instead of patch if I get a flat.

Got the yard mowed despite it starting to rain on me. I didn't really mind as it beat mowing on a miserably hot dusty day. Was a big mess to wash off the mower and under the deck afterward. Did a lot of inside work after that since it's continued to rain. Weed eating will have to wait. Oh yah a couple big outside battery powered fans arrived today so I charged em fully and they will go on the back patio or wherever I need them. So nice to not have to plug them in to work.

I am just doing the first half from Lake Tahoe to Verdi, providing the weather stays below 80/90*,
I have used Google Earth and can ride all the way to Fernley via some wild horse trails,
but not in the hot weather we are having. I hope 300l of H2o will be enough. ymmv

The gator being as old as it is I noticed the front end steering a little loose. I ordered a new rack and pinion assembly for it... it was only $100. Easy to swap out.
You don't notice it in the yard or on dirt road but you can feel it a little on the hard road.

Went to the eye Doc today... Very excited to get there!
My "go-to" place has had no Optometrist since "COVID" so I am 6 years over do.
I went into great detail with the new to me Doc.
I explained that I have worn Rx glasses since 1969 and Know when things aren't right.
 I told him I was an avid shooter and right eye dominant but can no longer see though a Dioptller sight...and my scopes are troublesome.
Let alone street signs... I was worried about deeper issues.

Turns out he is a hunter and ex military!
He totally under stood and promised to "dial me in".

After a rigorous exam, I got a clean bill of health. He explained that the intermittent tunnel vision was most likely do to my High BP and that is a sign to check it. But my eyes are fine.. no Molecular Degeneration I was worried about.

But my Rx had "significantly changed" (as I suspected)...In 2 weeks from now I get my new specs.
HUZZAH!

I did some more work on my motorcycle trailer, and took several breaks to cool off and drink water and Propel. I was in the sun most of the time where I needed to work on it so, even with the low humidity I got warm out there. There was a nice breeze so I never got sweaty though. I used up my sand paper for my sander and will have to get more to get it done.
 The surface rust removal actually goes pretty quick, it is just hard for me to stay with constant like I used to. So, a little at a time until it is done is my plan. Shade would help, as would starting earlier in the day, which I have not done. My carports have to much in them currently to be convenient to use them as a work space. A couple more days like today and it should look like a new trailer.

Yard and garden work, dump day.   I seem to spend a lot of time messing around with the compost pile so my wife can have nice potting soil for her flowers.   They do look great and she loves them.

Since I am out of the sand paper for my power sander I hand sanded some of the the hard to get to places. I was hoping to get more done but my hands started cramping up. I need to hydrate and relax a little now. I did accomplish a lot this morning before I came in though.
