Quote from: RDB on April 08, 2019, 02:44:45 AMHave you called Jim at Precision about a shroud? He had one a year or so ago....just the shroud no bilita. I gave it to him. May still be on the parts shelf.I got an email from Jim and he said he had a spare shroud that he had taken off a personal gun (maybe the one you gave him?) for $39 plus shipping. Yes please! A good deal considering it comes with 1/2" unf end cap and set screws. Thanks for the heads up RDB, Jim was a very nice guy to talk to and Nancy as well. Thanks Randall, I haven't done any accuracy testing for real yet but by the looks of things it should be very accurate lol. Yes that was with Jsb 18.1's but this regal used to be the 40fpe version I guess and the original owner put a Huma in it and used a shorter bushing for less hammer spring tension. I don't think it is as efficient as it could be but I can squeeze 30 shots out of a 200bar fill (more obviously if I fill to 230bar) so I'm cool with that for now.

Tweeter, a few things. Before trying drilling out the set screws, try this, use star bit drivers. They will often grab where an allen key cannot in a rounded fastener. Before turning anti clockwise, to loosen their set, give the handle a sharp tap with a mallet or hammer while putting pressure Clockwise then pressure anti clockwise and hit it again. This will often break the seal. To seat a set screw, tightly, without a huge amount of torque, turn until hand tight, then tap as before and give it a little 1 eights twist clockwise again. You will feel it set solidly like magic and you have a good solid connection, without the fear of stripping. A great thread saver! This works for just about all fasteners. gunsmiths have been using this technique for a very long time. Particularly for mounting scope base rails to rifles. Mike
Only in spirit lol. It says it on the breech but no slingshot hammer which might be the reason I'm not getting as many shots as some other huma regged Regals.

Justin, from a 225bar fill down to 120bar, it starts at about 870 climbs to a little over 900 then back down to around 860 with (15.89gr) through 40-45 shots....can stretch it to 50 but I don’t punch paper with that many shots....POI does not drop at my range of 20yds max.

Unlike the s510 tdr I had recently (and sold QUICKLY), that thing got 12-13 shpts within a 30fps spread on high power. I want to say it has nearly the same reservoir size as the regal xl too but the barrel was a bit shorter. I've always been satisfied if I can get 30 shots at least per fill. Imagine what them guys in the UK think. They only refill their guns after they shoot a 500ct tin of pellets lol.

I’m sure you will find it’s sweet spot...sounds like you’re getting close . I just haven’t shot any pcp that rivals the Regals trigger and accuracy at their price point....the mechanical sound is very addicting too...crisp and fast.
Are 12 ftlb Regals available in the US?Mitch
