Well.... the box clearly says Model 840. It also says New Rifled barrel.
Nice score! Can't quite make out the Lot No. but I'd guess early '80s. The 840 below (not mine) is an '82.
Very nice David! I don't know much about them but what I do know is they're a hot seller on the bay. A lot of Daisy fan's hunting for em. BTW...excellent condition!
Missed this in my notes- it's the gun that goes to the box I posted:
David...that's a real beauty! Looks brand spanking new. Congrats!
That is a sweet little shooter for sure. The valve on these is a simple plastic "plug", same type as used in the 853, 753, etc. It uses a striker as opposed to the exhaust valve pull off "hammer" of the 880, so actually it's a lot more like the 853 than an 880 internally. Alcohol flush may well do the trick but if it did need new seals, at least they're cheap from Daisy.
Cheap fun for sure.
Quote from: avator on March 21, 2019, 06:25:28 PMCheap fun for sure.At only $60 and it shoots the cheap $2.50 Daisy pointed pellets pretty well, I'd say it's definitely cheap fun.I never knew that every species fo dinosaur could fly, but they can when I shoot them It's a good thing they're only $1 a bag at the Dollar tree because I've already lost a couple of them.
