As the title says, looking for a cast bullet mold for my AF Condor.

I have the NOE 250-41-FN-BK2 and it is just not performing well out of the Condor. I have sorted, sized...etc and cannot get results worth writing home about.

The rifle shoots hole on hole with JSB's and does okay with the NOE pellets. Just wanting the range from a bullet.

Suggestions? Ideas?

We have had success sizing to 0.249" but using the 50 grain NOE mold.

Loren , what did your barrel slug to ? If it’s the LW there are a few .257 bullets that may work well just by sizing . Also do you still have the factory choke ? I have yet to get a bullet to shoot straight with a choked barrel , some have had good luck with them . But I just can’t seem to find a happy medium.

Try 'Varmint Knockers' On eBay. They work well in my .25 SS with the choke. I've tried others without any success, but these are by far the most accurate, AND others with factory LW condors have had success too.

The NOE 65 gn HPs all the way. My 2016 and my brother’s 2018 Condors both love them at 120fpe. Sized to .250.

The barrel is OEM fresh, so if it is choked from AF/LW it is still choked.

Okay hanging my head in shame....I had not slugged the barrel. (Excuse....I need a fresh battery for my calipers) I did slug it this morning before heading into work and measuring it with calipers here at work. Grooves measure .254 and lands measuring .249. That could explain some of it. The largest I was sizing to was .252 and there was not much resistance, so figure they are casting near .252-253.

Which NOE 65gr HP? I'm not seeing it on their list.

I did see a 60 grain on their site but it didn't look like any HP molds were available.

After looking more on the NOE site, they do have this, which looks to be 65gr...but some miss labeling.

I sized just a few Arsenal 257420 from .257 down to .252 in one step, and they went through the die with ease. With feeling good about being able to size down that much and having the barrel slug at .254 I decided to add these two molds to the mold box, plus .253, .254, and .255 sizing dies. The first will also give me a light weight bullet for the .257 Texan.

The AR 4 you have listed is an excellent bullet. Fares well at longer ranges.

I think that’s it, but mine had the HP pins. It was a group buy. I’ll find a link to it.

I’m almost totally sure it was this one. Its a .257 that was sized to .253. Definately get one with the HP pins. The wound channel the HPs make at 120-140fpe is devastating. My cast out to 60 grains with my alloy.

I’m sorry to hear that. I just got a new baby here. Not a new gun. Literally my first born daughter. When I get settled in I’ll send you some bullets to try. I’ll have to cast some. I gave all I had to my brother for his Condor.
