Last night I put it all together.
Had to put the lead-in on the barrel with a cone shaped stone in the dremel and I was scared to death I was going to screw it up!
But after a few gradual trials, the bolt closes and it passed the tissue test. WHEW!
I did go overboard with the Nikko Sterling 44mm scope, too honkin big for this carbine. So it is going on the Beeman, and the Simmons 32mm is now on the 2060.
It is only 6o degrees here at 9:30 but I could not wait any longer. Took it out side for a few shots. First without the Rocker1 moderator, and then with.
WOW what a difference the sound is!
Too cool yet to actually try zeroing in the scope, but with the JSB 13.73g it sounds like she is hitting the 35 yard backstop HARD!
You can see how short this 16" barrel is without the Moderator, and then with it on the length is still easy handing.

Pretty cloudy here so the photos turned out dark... the wood color is actually a bit lighter color of brown. The close-ups show it better...Maybe it's just my monitor.
The feel of the "Stone paint" in key places with several coats of satin clear feels pretty close to "stippling" and gives a nice non-slip surface.

Scott you hit another level of air gunning. To take that gun from scratch (laterally) & turn it into what I’m staring at in the scream is nothing short of amazing. She looks incredible w/o the Moderator but with it…you knocked it out of the park! Job well done!

Thank you Marty!
Very kind of you.
I bought a Power Adjuster for it during my parts gathering, but want to try it first without it to get a "baseline".... so this is it's first rendition. I have a Magnum Airpower silver trigger in my "cart".
There is already more to come.
Since this all started with a broken Benjiman 392P stock, Crosman parts, and a Benji Maximus trigger, I am calling it a Crojiman 2060.

Guess it depends on where you live.... Craw-Ja-Man?
Thanks Bill.
Amazingly enough the temperature actually dropped. Just now at 1:30pm it is back up to where it was at 9:30am.
But now I gotta mow.

Just got the "severe storm warnings" on the tv, cell phones and house phone. Better go batten down the hatches. It's so humid and still right now. Sun is shining. You can smell it in the air though. And all the leaves on the trees are beginning to turn over.

Got the mowing done... had sight it in.
Then watch the "Derby".
The results...
Grabbed my JSB 13.73g and was concerned on how hard it was to close the breech.
First 3 shots were off the the right with a nice group at 10M
Spin the dial to the left and bingo.. 5 shots a little high, but that is expected at this close range.
Then I moved it out to 20 yrds and kept shooting them and the groups grew because I kept fiddling with the scope. AO and Power. OK STOP IT!
Then after 20 shots (plus 5 dry fires last night) the cart fell off and it was done.
The pic is same target, sighters "X" out... At that range the POI was even HIGHER.
Again, 5 shots at 20 yrds the bottom is the same JSB's. BUT the top is Benjiman 20's.
With the Benji's it was much easier to close the breech , must be the head size.
The group was BETTER!
Again, another 25 shots on the cart, but stretching it out to 35 yards was a fail. I could litterally see the pellet flight and about 30 it plummeted downwards.
All and all I am very happy. Surely when the ambient temps increase, so will the power / distance.

Oo Nice!
I put my projects on the back burner right now... It seems as everything that I work on mechanically lately has been fighting me. So, I decided to take a short brake.

I have a rear cocker pumper that is screaming for some attention.
I have all the stuff to put together a 2240 carbine as well.
Hmmm.... maybe a rear cocker 2240 carbine.

Go get em Scotty !
.... meantime.... 2240 rear cocker carbine ain't gonna happen. The tube on the rear cocker is much smaller than that of the 2240. Instead I just built carbines out of both.
It all good...
