I use to think FX guns were for snobs. Now 10 years later I think they are clearly setting the standards in innovation.
Guess I am a lucky one. I have now had my .30 Impact Mk II for about a month and nary a leak. Holds pressure just fine. Gauges are accurate. Smoothcocking and did I mention how accurate it is. I have had many airguns and have kept just 3. My Marauder .25cal, my Benjie Bulldog and now the Impact.I am just a retired guy who likes to shoot. When I got it I cleaned the barrel, tuned over the chrony and can shoot both pellets and slugs out to 200yds.I think people do not read the manual nor pay attention to the do's and do not's. This gun can be ruined if you do not tune it correctly. You must never turn the regulator down when the gun is pressurized. When tuning for speed, slow and small adjustments. Again, maybe I am just lucky.
Got a brand new FX Impact MKII with the power plenum just last week. Leaks down 10 to 15 BAR overnight out of the box ( really !! ). Inexcusable for a rifle in this price range. Do they not do any QC on the stuff before leaving the factory. I would think they should undergo a week or so test for air integrity and so on. Fredrik .. this is unacceptable to say the least !! … don't deny it. I wont blame the dealer as the stuff they get from the factory should be spot on for a flagship airgun. Almost CDN$3,000 and I have to mess with it .. strip it down .. and change out who knows how many O-rings and hope.. upon hope .. I can make it right. I am now completely soured on it. Mat Dubber from SA may like it but he is in their back pocket .. sad. Great gun for customization, but entirely over engineered from a functional and reliability perspective. On the flip side, I've had a Daystate for 15 years that has never leaked. I fear I have made a huge mistake.
Not overwhelming maybe, at least I hope not. But ... the point is it should not happen at this price point. I do not usually send anything back as I prefer to fix it myself as I am experienced in working on airguns. I blame the manufacturer for this, pure and simple. High end airguns should be completely vetted and sorted at the factory before being sent to any dealers and/or customers.
hmmm ... it makes a guy wonder ..... for the $$$$ I would hope , and expect the gun to be sorted out before sent ,and then there is this video .... and so maybe a wild cat .30 sniper ... less problems

As it has tp adjustment, reg adjustable (not external) and HST adjustment. A couple things i think he's missing is the fact that hes using the valve control minimally. Also the HST wheel has about 70% of the hammer adjustment available. You can set it on the low end for the bottom 70% set it up a bit to get the middle 70, or higher to get the top 70%. That combined with his "set and forget" usage of the valve adjuster limits its capability. There is much more adjustment available on the impact than the crown. That is a fact, also more power potential. Crown doesn't have a set screw to adjust the HST slider, and doesn't have valve damping adjustment but its "more adjustable" ok.
You can adjust the reg up and down with pressure in the gun. Just do like 1/4 turn then shoot a couple shots. What they're talking about in the manual is for the old reg not the AMP reg.

All I know is that I am MORE than happy with my Impact.
