Hi all, Here is a video I did for a string shot on my Nova Liberty out of the box. I think it's shooting above average compared with what you are getting out of the box right?
what pellet were you using

From a data standpoint, it is better to average the double feed from the shot ahead of and behind vs deleting. Deleting impacts the efficiency and shot count results. Same with any chrony errors.
SteveCan't wait to see your sporter stock. At some point this spring, I'm going to try & modify my original stock to loose a couple of pounds. (new long beach-wood diet) Shorten a tad, and maybe try to skeletonize the butt.I would love to see some type of a semi bull pup configuration. Steal some linkage from something else and try it out. With the lever action, and the way it's weight is balanced, it would be well suited. All I need is a wood shop, two helpers a guide book (how to) and a couple of weeks off work, he, he. Post more pics as you get them.
Anyone else having issues with double feeding os pellets in these? Maybe it's the .177 more than the .22 due to the size of the pellets, but I've had the barrel off this rifle more than another I own due to it double feeding pellets!

If you see my last video, you will see that in 80 shots I got 2 double feeding. I don’t know if it was me or something weird in the magazines but it happened twice.

All the way back and comment to cocking forward. I have shot hundreds of rounds using the magazine with no more double feeds.

I'm wondering if it worse with the .177 due to the smaller pellets? I try to be very precise and methodical when cycling the rounds because it happens so frequently with my rifle, but it still happens. I have even had instances where a pellet will jump from the magazine and end up jammed sideways in the breech side by the probe. You wouldn't think there would be enough clearance for this to happen, but it has more frequently than you'd think!
I have not tried a Marauder Magazine. I did purchase a couple Gauntlet mags as spares because those seemed to fit the breech opening better, they are just a tad thicker. But, I have the same issues with those. It does seem the opening in the clear cover is larger than it should be. I measured the opening on the .177 (4.5mm), the .22 (5.5mm) and the .25 (6.5mm), the opening for the .177 mag is 1.2mm larger than the pellet size (5.7mm). When I measured the .22 and .25 the opening is less than .5mm larger than the pellet size (5.9mm and 6.9mm). So, that may be why the .177 pellets are popping out so easily.

I tried using the Crosman Trail sound suppressor baffle in my Liberty.Instead of drilling both of the first barriers so the entire baffle slid into shroud I just drilled the threaded end barrier and then cut enough off the other end so I could put the cap on the shroud. (Hope that made sense). What I found was with the baffle inserted the sound level was noticabley reduced and on lower power the accuracy was not affected. With the power set on high the accuracy was negatively affected, at least with CPHP pellets, the pellets were tumbling when they impacted the target. When I removed the baffle the accuracy was the same at both power levels. My conclusion is that the baffle causes issues for pellets traveling at the speeds produced on the high power setting. The reduction in sound isn't enough to make it worth keeping the baffle installed and using only the low power setting.Wheelman
