It is fun David. I enjoy it, everything cept pounding in the roll pins. I still haven't gotten use to that. It always amazes me the pounding it can absorb. Of course there's reinforcement on the inside of the tube.

It shot hard too.I was bummed that it wasn't accurate, but even that eventually worked itself out.

That's absolute death to accuracy! I have a .177 cotton mop tht I use to clean my BB gun barrels with. I use acetone to get rid of all traces of oil. You'd think that would promote rust but in my experience enough oil works its way through the gun from the compression chamber to keep rust at bay.
Thanks Dave. Unfortunately I had hoped to get him going at full throttle. Who knows, maybe in the morning. That's usually when this flush kicks in. If not, good to know David is a tinkerer. He'll be in good hands.
David, there is no question in my mind I have not given the flush enough time to work. Some of my guns have taken 3 days to respond & all of them are shooting at max & hold air indefinitely. If you’d like we can give it another day or two to see what happens. It’s your decision. Just let me know what you would like to do. Ship manana, or keep plugging away?
I cycled the gun 4x & left the pump lever open 2/3 over night. Never moved & it held on to all it's air. It is still holding on to some air but not as much. So we've made some progress. Chrony numbers have it hovering around 500 fps. The flush requires a lot of cycling in order for it to work, so I will continue to do that off & on throughout the day & run some more numbers this evening. So I think your decision to give it more time is a wise one. I have read tearing into a gun like this can be a bit of a challenge. Even by seasoned vets.
David, no change in fps, so I’m going to break the gun down one last time in the morning, clean out the tube, pump linkage, barrel, & brass, & he will be headed your way tomorrow. I’ll email you the tracking number. There will still be plenty of oil left inside him so my recommendation is to shoot the snot out of him, literally, With/without ammo & see if there are any changes over time. If not, maybe someone here can volunteer to tear him down for you. It’s been fun but my shoulders are plumb worn out.Enjoy!
Here you go David. You'll have your tracking number in about an hour. Shoot it like there's no tomorrow!
This little 312 was placed on the back burner since it was buffed. I never got around to treating it with Tri-/Flow knowing there was one other issue to take care of, & has since tarnished over. I have an off day today so I will dissemble, buff, treat with TF, adjust the piston rod, & run him through the chrony. He should be headed your way possibly tomorrow or at the latest Thursday.
