What airgun related did you do today?

Thank you all for the advice.   I put better than 50 shots through the mod 135 today as well as 20 or so through the .25 caliber mod 125 for comparison.  It's no contest.  The mod 135 is MUCH harder to cock but the pay off is 30+fps at the muzzle.  I chronographed it today at an average 30.79 fpe.  It was making beer cans dance at 60 yards with 25.39gr JSB Kings.  It is a BEAR to cock.  I can believe Kris's claim of 60 lbs. of cocking effort.

Very happy with the power and the surprising accuracy.  Once I get the trigger tuned I might try for NUAH with this gun.

It's the only break barrel I have that takes both hands to cock it but worth the power that comes with it.

Made and installed an oil wiper for a Daisy Mod.35
Made and installed a new bolt w/brass probe and O-ring in an old style Daisy 880
Resealed a Benjamin 342
Turned a bunch of 880 seal kit parts......

Other than that, not much........

Almost finished dismantling my Crosman MK2.   A couple days soaking in PB Blaster and gummed up parts came right out with no problem.   Except for the bolt assembly.   I can not budge that sucker.  And looks like I'll have to order a rebuilt valve stem.   The valve stem seal is pretty much disintegrated.  I better enjoy shooting it when it's all fixed up.

Finally got my 12 year old Discovery to hold air.  Multiple teardowns to stop an 200psi over night leak.

Just was really ticking me off.  Got some 90 durometer o-rings and only managed to break one on the valve.

Back to soft ones and it sealed up overnight.  I think the step just past the fill lave is the culprit, but darned if I can see a way to smooth it out.

Took the time to smooth the bolt raceway to hopefully get rid of the cocking grittiness and excessive effort.

Yeah, the 342 that I resealed had a lot of actual grease in the valve........musta been a good thing,tho.
The pump cup was shot, but the valve was still holding!
It got resealed anyway, just for good measure as the nuns in grade school used to say..........

I received a .25 caliber Hatsan mod 135 in the mail today.  I shot some JSB Kings through it with the iron sights.  Enough to convince me that the gun is accurate.  I mounted a 4X32 AO Winchester scope on it this evening.  This gun has a reputation for eating scopes.  The cheap Winnie scopes have reputation for standing up to a lot of abuse.  This should be interesting.

Congrats on the new cannon gun...

It needs the lock up pin, original is undersized. I asked Hatsan customer service to mike some for me in 2015 and response was like go do something-or-other with myself...

By now the seals in the gas ram are probably suspect and I don't own a pump (otherwise I've been thinking about rebuilding the ram).

Gun is still dissassembled, not 100% sure it's all there any more.

Sounds like a project for a guy that has experience and the equipment to make what is needed.

Received a disco trigger pack from a generous member to put one of my "legos" back together. It needed a few parts so I put together a Crosman parts order list. I went from a 3 part list to 2 dozen parts. The rest are for future plans have in mind.
Most of these parts are probably less than $1 and probably not one part more than a couple.

I did some more shootin' with the 853 and paying special attention to the trigger pull
to see if I really want to dive into it to to a trigger mod.

I'll do some more testing either this afternoon or tomorrow.

I would like to hear from those who have done a trigger mod and which one did you do.
The one where you drill and tap a hole or the one where you take out the return spring and add a
wire to limit the sears travel shortening the return and pull.

I have heard nothing about actually putting a lighter spring or cutting the trigger spring.
Any one done that?

I think I created an Air Gunner.....

  Did you tell him the peanut butter was to snack on while waiting for rats   One British trick was to mix Nutella with corn oil so they have to stay there and lick alot.

Well Ron, Red light is a cheap Night vision, Rats can't see in the Red Light, and the Ding Donger is a cheap motion sensor to let you know there is something munching on the Peanut butter, we've been doing it like this for years, only down fall is it doesn't do Video.....
