I did some more plinking and punching holes with the Umarex APX.
It sure did not like the Daisy wadcutters that's for sure.

Saturday I called in an order to Daisy model 880 50 year limited edition and UPS delivered it about noon today.  72 degrees out with high wind so only made two shots to check function and to my surprise I hit a target (abt 10 yards) with both shots.  Can hardly wait to really check it out and see if I can shoot at a paper target to see if I was just lucky or the sights are dead on.  Charles

I spent over two hours shooting my new Daisy 880 and what a rifle it turned out to be.  Out of the box I didn't have to adjust the sights for 10 yards and it is super easy to cock and the trigger is good as well.  Accuracy for such a low cost gun is super.  With three easy pumps it was a dead shot on my metal reactive
targets.  Out of the box I don't think I've had a better one and that includes high dollar guns.  If you don't have a 880 I suggest you give one a try. Pure low cost pleasure.  Charles

I am not getting any GTA forum notifications of new posts now.
I checked the blocked and junk list and made sure that the domain address was listed in the
safe senders list, but still no notifications.

I've spent a good part of the day trying to figure this out.

I feel like I'm missing out on everything now.
I don't like that.

Can any one help or have any ideas that can fix this?

I also have the settings for notifications set to email, and Alerts.
I get the alert when I log in for PMs, but no email notification or alert for new posts.

I haven't ever received email notifications for new posts. I just looked at all the settings available that I can find for what this forum allows, and don't see that option.

How were you receiving email notifications for new posts? Is this a setting on your phone or for the forum software?

I got my shop all tore up whilst I restructure the work spaces..

I am developing the means to store my rifles on the shelves in the most efficient manner.
I can currently arrange 24 Crosman or Daisy pumpers on one 18 x 36 x 18" high shelf.

It's easy on the 36" wide shelves as long as there is room on the outside for the barrels to stick out a bit.

The 48" shelves are more of a challenge as the rifles won't span the uprights, requiring some sort of structure
on the shelf to support barrels for 1 tier, then the buttstocks for the nest tier....

Nothing is ever simple...

It's right next to the "reply" button. It will say "notify" ... click on that it takes you to a settings page which gives you
several options to receive notifications by email, alert, email and alert, or none.
Click the one you prefer and "save".

This feature was set to "Email" for me too, but I've never received an email notification regarding a post/reply to a thread, only to private messages.

Maybe the site owners disabled this feature? Or it just doesn't work?

Whatever the situation, expecting an email notification would be the logical behavior, so if no one is getting notified by email, you are, IMHO, right to point this contradiction out.

I think it's only the site administrator(s) and/or the software developers who would be able to do that.

I've spent about 25 years working in various tech-related jobs and volunteer to help if the admins want it, but it may mean that I have to be given access to member information that is normally kept private along with the ability to change/fix the email settings.

The GTA has a go to programmer. I'm sure they are investigating the issue. The trick is to make changes while trying not to disrupt the flow of the forum. I'm sure they'll get it sorted soon enough.

I'm still trying to solve the email / notification problem.

I did get contacted by an administrator and he's going to try to help me resolve it.
It's by email, so the fix may take some time, if we can fix it with out the web techs
making the changes internally.
