Shooting a .25 gk1 through a set of 3d printed baffles I am trying. These are based on an old patent Subscriber shared here a while back.  Air is shunted into donut-shaped cavities that create little vortices that trap air as long as it is moving quickly. 

These fit in a 1” OD aluminum housing I got from rockr1 a while back.  This works very well compared to other designs I tried that fit in the same small space (in this case about 70 mm length x 22.6 mm inner diam.

I’ve tried a couple of variations on this one. This is my third revision, and I carefully sanded all of the mating surfaces between the baffles and have them tightly compressed together in the can so they seal well I hope.

 Each baffle is ~6 mm thick

In the attached picture, I just kind of roughly stack them in the 3-D modeling software, so you can see the boundaries between the individual baffles

Well I just bought a couple more Ali Express Regulated Drop Blocks and a 450cc carbon Bottle, now that I know how to fix the regulator problem, they sure make the bottle fit better on the gun and I love the external adjuster screw, make adjusting the pressure (when it works) easy.

That Stinger rest is impressive. The yoke that came with the bench and my Caldwell rear bag was very comfortable to shoot from though.

Actually, I was very skeptical of the yoke until I tried it. I thought, compared to my front Caldwell bag, I’d shelf it. Amazingly simple, it’s very soft holding on the front stock and extremely adjustable.

Seems to me that Stinger would be the next best thing to a vise for testing accuracy. A soft rear bag has some play in movement while recocking the gun whereas the Stinger would be more of a set it and forget it type deal. I watch guys like Rick doing gun reviews using one and it looks quite solid.

... 3 days later I did get one sight in shot off with the Recluse, on Wed. 4" low and 5" right  at 50 was too cold and windy to take any more shots, will get back to it this nicer weekend.

Awhile back my 2100 stopped working and I had decided to just get a legacy 1000 and do a receiver / stock swap instead of getting a seal kit...etc.
Stock is sporadic at my local Walmart but they had a few on the shelf yesterday so I finally bought one and did the swap.

I don't know if the gun I bought was defective or what but the trigger had to be about 30lb, pulling the trigger felt like I was going to break the gun, I know my 2100 wasn't great but it was definitely not that bad.
Today I went and addressed that issue.
I don't remember exactly what all I did to improve the trigger on my 2100 besides polishing a few surfaces and I believe taking some of the tension out of the trigger spring,  so I just swapped all those parts over as well as leaving out whatever this part is.

That has made a huge difference,  the trigger still sux but it's perfectly adequate for plinking now
I'm not recommending you leave this part out because it could serve some important purpose I don't know, but I will tell you that I cannot identify what this part does and that leaving it out makes a major night & day difference.

The bolt on this gun was also very hard to operate and that breech cover which really just gets in the way was surely a major source of the friction so I snapped it off.
It was easier to snap that off than to seperate parts of a model kit.


I didn't have to add any tape for barrel support on this gun, the front sight seems to hold the barrel perfectly fine and accuracy with 10.5 Crosman premier domes is pretty good.

Now I need to dig those two pumpers out of storage and compare the triggers and other aspects of them for myself.

After being encouraged to try to reassemble my RWS 5G after replacing the disaster that once was a piston seal with a new one from ARH on my own, I decided to take on the challenge. Following some cleaning and then applying a tiny bit of moly paste inside the receiver and compression chamber, I managed to get the piston, spring, and other parts back together.

Now I have the even more daunting task of putting the smaller pieces in correctly.

If anyone can tell me what order to start putting the parts back in/on the 5G, and/or has any tips or tricks that might help, I'd appreciate your advice.
