I stomped around in a swamp for a couple of hours carrying my sawed off Shockwave.  Didn't see anything tasty.  I stopped by Tractor Supply and picked up a broken screw extractor set.  Wouldn't you know that the set I've had for years doesn't have the one I need?  The broken screw extractor is to remove a broken stock screw from the Shockwave.  I might try and remove the broken screw tonight if I can cobble together enough light in the shop to see,

Worked late came home to check the mail box and found my GRT-4G Trigger for the Gamo.  Rewatching the install instructions and inventory garage scraps to make my spring compressor for the weekend install.  My Winchester 2-7X32 is supposed to arrive from Midway Thursday so looking like Sunday Gun day at the range :-)

 a small car siscisors jack makes for a good start to a spring compressor can be used in a jig in a door dam etc., and put back in the car when done too

Thank you sir.  That's what was used in the video I watch.  Good to have confirmation from the senior members on the forum.  Just so happens there's a jack just like that in the 98 Accord I'm also supposed to be working on...lol

I've managed to fill the gun safe in the Red Shed. Today I plan to bring all those guns back in the house and put them back in the cabinets they belong in and begin the process again... with different guns.

Inbreeding 2 Beeman guns I have the action from a Beeman Bison and the stock from a Beeman 1085, been cutting and sanding etc. a bit more to go, but everything is looking promising. Just need to come up with longer stock  bolts, and a trigger guard. But sone final shaping is required yet too. Hmm just came up with a name, BI-1085 

 Beeman Beeman merger update. Sometimes you just need bigger stock screws, found these in the misc. stash, perfect Now on the hunt for a longer version for the rear , and some suitable material to make a rear mounting lug.

I got out early this a.m.  Before the rain let up.

The mushroom hunting was good.  Fresh oyster fungus, Bluets, and a Heracium the size of my fist.  I’m going to slice the Heracium, dust it with flour and Cajun seasoning and sauté it in butter for about thirty minutes.  Then I’ll melt pepper jack cheese over it and serve it with marinara sauce.  The Bluets will be sautéd in butter.  The oysters will be sliced and cooked into a casserole with eggplant and mozzarella.

Oh yeah,  I carried the Crosman Fire with me on this exepedition.  I was on the lookout for small game and edible plants.  I saw a doe at about thirty yards and a river otter at about fifty so it was a pretty awesome morning.

So what is the verdict on your new scope. I'm looking for a cheap 3-9 scope to mount in a knock off ZR mount for my hatsan 125 sniper. Already bought the ZR mount just need a scope but don't want to throw away money on complete dudo. Yeah I know, you get what you pay for but I've gotten some cheap scopes that work pretty good. I love my tasco 2.5-10 scope. Would love to find a deal on another one like it but last I seen they're up near $100 now.

I have five of the Winchester branded scopes.  Two 4X and three of the 2-7X32.  All reside on 17+fpe springers.  The 4X have stood up well to over two years of use.  I got my first 2-7X a year ago and it has performed well on my Hatsan mod 95.  They are surprisingly clear and the AO seems properly calibrated but be prepared to tap the scope between adjustments.  Hope this helps.

I drilled a hole for a spring and detent in the bolt of my H9A, now the bolt stays open when you point it downwards to load like a Benjamin pistol should.

I finally got around to putting a couple of good coats of polyurethane on my .25 Airacuda, I think that it looks much better now!

First Backyard confirmation shots on the Gamo with the CDT GRT! And the Winchester 2-7x32.  Dime sized 3 shot group at 12 yards with two touching.  Look out Tree Rats...lol

Thanks Bill, yeah I just don't care for the looks of the Max and after doing a lot of reading and researching I decided that a regulated gun was just not for me. Some where I read where they showed all the pros of an unregulated gun and that pretty much convinced me. I'll try and find it.

worked on the notos trigger today.

cleaned everything,
light wipe down with silicone,
polished the sharp point off of the trigger adjustment screw,
and added a lighter weight trigger spring.

shes smoooooooth now
