Quote from: avator on August 12, 2019, 11:13:37 AMIt appears that I may have picked up the remaining parts for my next (stubby 2240) build. It may turn into a 1740 since I already have one in .22.I planned on putting a short steel breech on this one but never did it.

Today I sourced some stainless and brass tubing for my next project on my (cr600w spa plinkster variant rifle) adding an adjustable cheek rest . I have a fairly easy system I have come up with over the years that leaves no ugly adjustment holes visible:)
Tonight I am going to disassemble the "Cro-jiman" 2060 build to find a fatter o-ring for the MellonAir Flow thru bolt. It was their .177 unit and I am running an LW .20 barrel.Seemed an OK fit to the lead-in at the early beginning, but discovered with the warmer temps and a tight fitting pellet it fails the "tissue test" BIG time.

Got about 80% of my airguns cabinet done, quick and simple / rough and dirty but holds 14 rifles atm and will have a shelf up top for ammo and pistols plus I still gotta put the doors on.

Just take a sander and distress it then put a clear coat on it.Also, might I suggest, use some 1x1 to make 'pigeon holes' on the bottom for the butt end of the stocks to sit in.Looks functional.
Went to the Andalusia Gun and Knife Show this morning. Not much there in the way of airguns.A Cummin's tool truck gun and a couple Red Ryders.... all over priced.I picked up a Nikon P 223 scope for $40. I took a muzzle loader with me but had no takers. Stopped at a pawnshop in town and found a red stock Daisy 953. I snagged it for $50.I almost forgot...I came around one corner and saw something I did not expect....There was a purple plastic banner about the size of a bumper sticker. It read...Come to the Darkside..We Have Cookies.I asked the guy where he got it and he wasn't sure. He thought a friend gave it to him. He knew nothing about the GTA.I tried to buy it but he wasn't selling it. I wanted to get a picture but Betty Lou left the phone in the car.[/quoteWhat was it for a muzzle loader? curiosity....
