Nice pellet driving there!

I put a drop of silicone oil down the compression chamber of the ASP20. It has had about a thousand shot cycles, figured it was time.

KAPOW first shot detonated big time, then it went into dieseling. Shooting a little erratic but is calming down. The poi changed downward then eventually started coming back up.

I used this stuff that came with my Aspen

I did put some shots through my DAR25 today, didn't see any red squirrels but I did manage to plug a chipmunk with it.  It's the best .25 that I have, very light and plenty of power with fantastic accuracy.  The gun puts my Mrod .25 to shame IMO, you really don't need any modifications with this gun except adjustments.

I received my 177 Benjamin Marauder. It's the regulated version with the Lothar-Walther barrel. I've been experimenting with different tunes. I had the velocity up to 900 fps with CPHs. Now I've got it down to 860 fps which yields 80-85 shots. Next I'm going to take it down to 800 fps for target shooting. I'm really enjoying this gun.

One of my 2 Hatsan strippers which I had powder coated because the anodizing was not up to my standards.

Also had  a new set of stainless cones machined to match whatever theme and caliber I have on my gun: ss or brass....The OEM is brass, btw.

I got the same rifle .177/regulated/LW barrel about 2 months ago.  Out of the box it shoots CPH boxed at 875fps and I get about 80 shots.  Have not messed with it but would appreciate if you could tell me the specifics once you get it down to 800fps.   I thought the regulated marauder would be harder to tune since the regulator kept the pressure constant, so I'm happy to learn how to get more shots with less power for my target shooting!  I have a Gen 1 if I ever need more power.   

This version of the Marauder is BIG, long and heavy!

Completed trigger mods on my brand new .22 Gauntlet.  Polished the trigger and sear contacts and added moly, replaced the stock spring with cut down spring from a ball point pen, adjusted over-travel screw... and I love it!  It pulls like butter, and breaks super crisp.  I decided against installing a spring plunger for a 2 stage “feel” because I really like how it turned out.  Now I just have to find it’s favorite pellet.

PCP Day at the Range

Drove up to the Yolo range with the PCPs today.
Just to mess around.
Shot the Gen I Marauders and the 1720T at 25 yards off the bench.
The rifles used bi-pods and the pistol used the bag.

1. 10 shots with the .177 - AA 10.34, 4.52mm Dome
2. 10 shots with the 1720T - Crosman 7.9 CPH
3.   8 shots with the .25 - JSB 25.4 Dome
4. 10 shots with the .22 - Discovery 14.3 CPH

I probably should have used a different pellet with the .22 but seven of them seemed to shoot OK.

I always said my most accurate rifle was my 1720T pistol...😜

The other day I was shooting the 160 2nd Var and while wiping it down afterwads I head a "tink"   "thud"... It was the serrated elevation riser off the rear blade site. Towel caught it and flipped it out.
 I was on the deck.. and it literally disappeared in the poor light of dusk.
So today I came home from work and put on a full blown search.
After determining it wasn't on any flat surface I started peering down between the decking and sure enough... there it was.
I got my old trusty "Magnet on a stick" retrieval tool and snatched it from the jaws of a rusty death!!!!

Good Job, those magnets sure can be a life saver, so to speak. I have retrieved many sockets and wrenches as well as nuts and bolts that there was no other way to get to. I have 4 or 5 of the magnets just so I can be sure to have one handy if/when needed.

You betchya Dan... this small one has been in my tool box for decades.
More recently I bought a big one that is a strong "Neo Magnet" on a flexible wand. It is the perfect size to fit down a Co2 tube and snatch a stuck cart!

Such an indispensable tool, I prefer Ullman devices Corp myself but it's probably because that's the make my grandfather trusted for his magnetic pickup tools and inspection mirrors.

Made a 82.5 grain hammer weight out of either a carbide or HSS 3/8 drill bit shank for my Liberty to use with the shorter but stiffer HS.

Not much, just did a pre test with the 2 new valve springs I got from Tim Hill. I think I will go with the 29 for now since I'm still using the stock hammer. Thinking about drilling the throat of the valve too, not sure though.

Shopped at Meir's yesterday (new to the area). Found a sporting goods isle that was about half air gun stuff. No hats, shirts or anything. A pellet selection about like Walmart on the other side of the same country block with Cabela's next door. They had that new Remington 1100. Looked like a modern home defense version of a Greener to me?

It appears that I may have picked up the remaining parts for my next (stubby 2240) build. It may turn into a 1740 since I already have one in .22.

I went out and sighted my Freedom in this morning, it only took 3 shots to get it where I wanted it but I left the end of the shroud off and it was just way to loud to shoot very much.  I had to fix the pump on it cause the high pressure o ring wasn't doing what it was supposed to.  I couldn't even pull the pump out because the o ring that was in there was split and plugging it up.  It's working really good now though.
