Found a partial tin of .20's I thought I had use up, so you can probably guess what I did after that

Swapped scopes on my PCPs.  Hawke SW 30 tac went back on the Streamline.  SWFA 12x42 went on the Wildcat.  UTG 4-16x44 SWAT stayed on the RS78. 

Streamline is zeroed at 50 yards.  WC at 40 yards and RS78 is at 40.

I took apart my regulated disco because of suspected moisture issues. Opened it up and it was worse than I thought the huma reg was covered in oil/water gunk, the sticker on the huma was pretty much destroyed. Lesson learned, no more putting off regular maintenance on my guns.

Messing around today with my Crosman 3100. Put another scope back on (CP 3-9) and opened a tin of CPHP 7.9gr.
 As I was trying to sight in I kept picking up Crosman Destroyers (7.4 gr) out of my tin. (came from Walmart, btw)
Emptied the tin out on a newspaper on the dining table and went through them.
 Picked out 10 more! 

 Sent off a note to Crosman...

So I heard back from a fellow named Kevin, who told me the packing machine didn't get cleaned out good enough.
 I thought about that. I am a retired machinist,that used to work production runs.
 I dug around, and I have 3 other tins of CPHP . Two already open,one of which I already checked. I went through the rest.
 A brand new tin, (these are from Walmart) did not have any Destroyers in it. But almost 10%, 43 out of 500 were Crosman Points.
Anyone else come across this
 I sent another note off to Kevin at Crosman.   (  I know, never buy anything manufactured on Mondays or Fridays  )

The length of pull on that pistol stock was just too long so I took an inch off of it, and since those grooves I filed in didn't turn out very good the first time I  decided not to try it again.

Set up a tin can course in the yard.  Myself and 3 of the boys took turns walking and we each took 2 shots each at each target.  I won with 11 hits, Christopher hit 10, Sean and Nate both made 7 hits.  14 hits are possible.  It was a great time.  We will run the course again tomorrow.  All shots are standing offhand. 

Afterwards I grabbed the .177 Wildcat and shot an empty Gatorade bottle at 75 yards multiple times.  So fun!

I'm going to try to slip into the tool n die shop and use the lathe Today. I want to drill the ID of an SPA muzzle brake to fit the barrel on my Maximus. That is the final step in this rebuild.

Killed 2 golf balls at 25 yards.   Well, I bruised them dead center.  (chuckle)

As it got light enough to see, I tried the Freedom at 55 yards on another golf ball.   Direct center hit on first shot.   So, I said... "good enough".

Well, it did not take long before I had to know if it was just a lucky shot.

Long story short, yes and no, it was not just a lucky shot, but the grass is pretty high between me and the 55 yard golf ball.

So, the first shot was lucky that it did not encounter any of the tall weeds/grass, but it took a little while to make a good hit after that first shot.

I could see the pellet being deflected by the grass/weeds.

This is shooting across my neighbor's yard.   He is a good guy, but he does NOT mow regularly.  (sigh)

Oh, and yes, I do have his permission to shoot across his yard.

Well, here is another entry from me in the senile old fogy category...

Yes, the weeds WERE clipping the shots, but I had (once again) put the Freedom .177 on LOW power and did not realize it.  AGAIN!

So... once I put it back on HIGH power, I was making that golf ball dance at 55 yards.   Yeah, I missed a couple of times, but I hit it enough out of 20 shots that I had to replace it.   Yes, it was torn up enough that it was hard to make it sit on the tee.  (grin)

I am a happy AG'er once again!

Made it into the T&D shop at lunch and got the SPA MB drilled out to fit the Maximus barrel. Slipped it on when I got home but didn't have enough time to take pics or fool with it much. Posted an add in the classifieds for the sight blade for it. Not going to use open sights but I just want the blade to clean it up. Mean time I'll just turn the brake so the blade slot is on the bottom.

I got my two air rifles in today My Ruger Air hawk elite 2 with the 4x32 Ruger scope and my Rs1 Beeman Predator. Lets just say they are some thing to tinker with LOL. Much to my surprise the Beeman was the 1000 fps version with a 3x9x32 scope. I didn't scope them out yet, as I wanted to see how they shot after I cleaned all the dirt and what have you out of the barrels and tightened up the screws on the Air hawk. The Beeman has some sort of cover over the screws that looks like it needs a spanner of sorts to get them loose. I guess they didn't want any one working on it, ( we will fix that, heh heh, along with the auto safeties on both of them). Both of them required almost full elevation of the rear sight to zero at 10 meters, another little fix for me to take care of with spacers. All in all not too bad for the price point I have in them.

Been wanting to make a shooting bench so I dont have to shoot off cinder blocks anymore.   I'm not very handy, so asked a friend.  He told me no problem, had me sketch things out and we built this together by just "winging" it.
