Made an offer Sunday for a vintage target pistol I do not need but have wanted a long time.. She's a sweet one.

I fear my pistol shooting skills are in my past, but I still keep trying.
I have been checking daily to see if it is excepted but may not know until Saturday.

Oh yeah, while down in the barn today I found 2 1/2 gallons of exterior latex paint in a 5 gallon bucket. I unscrewed the lid and it looks good to go. I'll add a couple gallons of water to it to thin it enough to run through my paint sprayer and paint my 1' x 3' x 2mm high strength steel blank targets. It's left over from when they painted the Red Shed.
'Hits" will show up nicely on the targets. Those bright colored yard sale sticker from Walmart with show up good too.
Have you priced exterior latex lately?

Saw a Squirrel in the tree near the feeder, thought maybe I'd put some holes in him, since the season is open for a couple more days, but then I thought I'll give him a reprieve, I was still half asleep and my nearest air gun was on the other side of the house....

I ordered two scopes then woke up anxious and reduced the order to one while convincing myself I was saving money by doing so [chuckling].

Left work 15 minutes early and avoided Friday Atlanta rush hour traffic. Got the newly shipped 1322 out with 5 tins of different ammo, set up the pellet trap and chrono in the back yard to baseline the 10 pump fps on the 1322 and "find the best pellet" for that pistol.
Lessons/observations..
1. I can't shoot my way out of a paper bag with iron sights
2. I can't hit anything with a pistol unless I lean up against something stable like the edge of the house.
3. The front sight is fuzzy on my second day of disposable one day contacts.
4. I will be spending $50 for the steel breech for my sub $40 pistol...lol, so I can mount old man optics
5. My chrono can not pick up a .22 pellet in overcast cloudy light conditions.
6. I like the bolt and chambering on the 1322 better than the Gamo break barrel.
7. Five pumps is more than enough for the length of my tiny lot backyard and even 7 pumps is "backyard friendly"
8. Plinking is addictive fun who cares about fps and baselines...lol
9. Whenever I'm off work and plan something fun it rains...

Yes I have come inside to surf the internet and restrain myself from hitting "order" on a steel breech..

Drilling out the rear peep hole makes the factory sights usable, that or flip to the notch side. Buck Rail makes optics mounts for the 13xx pistols etc. If you want a stock for it I have one I will never use, just pay shipping.

Headed to the post office soon to pick up some AG parts. Will be going back next weekend for a new barrel and bottle reg. After the errands I'll be installing my 9ci bottle on the Bandito, checking zero, and heading into the woods to hunt for snowshoe hares.

Removed the William peep sight from my Diana 34 rifle and mounted my new BSA 3x9 AO scope. Hopefully, if it doesn't rain tomorrow I'll sight it in. Caliber is .177. Just hope the scope holds up. For a low end scope the optics seem just fine and the mounts look very good. Today was a fine air gun day! Charles

Added a target holder for 8-1/2X11 sheet targets to my target gallery. And then tested it out of course. Those paper rats never knew what hit them.

The zero was different, but not a big deal when I had five magazines per fill to figure it out. Took a walk in the woods to look for some hares after establishing zero, but only saw one squirrel after three hours of walking! Since I didn't see any game I did plink some cans and wine corks. These JSB 10.03 KO slugs are my new favorite and I can see myself stocking up on quite a few of these!

Made a Brass hammer weight for an FX Streamline.
It's 6.5 grn heavier then stock.

Filled a couple slow leakers and topped off the big bottle. Hopefully it's nice tomorrow. I plan on shooting the hp max and test some new slugs.
