What airgun related did you do today?

I went to PA & ordered 3 more Brownell's needle oiler bottles. Lost the third one from the first set I need to put all these tubes of Pellgun oil in. Every seal kit comes with a tube of Pellgun oil. Didn't find Beeman silver bears @ 12.65gr at PA. Just H&N Excite silver bears (called hollow points now?) @ 13.00gr. A wee bit heavier. I wanna try them in the Umarex/Colt SAA & the Crosman model 99. One guy said RWS domed cycle through it real easy. So maybe the Gamo hunter domed 15.42gr will work as well?
  Anyway, those small Brownell's needle oilers are darn handy for various lubricants I use. And I'm running low on the Beeman silver bears as well. I hope they work well in the model 99 & SAA Colt. I have'em in .177 & .22 calibers.

Decided to re-visit the RWS Meisterkugeln 14.0grn Professional line in my modded MRod. 

Nope.  It still did not like them.  After 20 pellets, I went back to JSB 18.13grns to see if it was me, a fluke, or the wind really ws that bad.
Nope.  If i did my part, I was hitting 9s, 10,s with a three 8s (using the 30yd rested target sheet).  The wind was very strong today.

Fun day! I got in three shooting sessions--early, mid-day, and just after supper! Best of all, got to work with my two oldest grandsons, teaching them more gun safety and how to shoot their Daisy 880. No way to beat a day like this!

Worked most of the day. Came home and shot a couple squirrels. During our weekly trip to Walmart I bought a ratcheting hand clamp to help assist with installing the breech to the airtube (thanks GTA forums), 2 .177 bore brush and mop, 1 25 cal brush and mop, and some crosman 17 cal copper coated pellets 10.6 gr that claim 20% more accurate at 50 yards! Looked at some toolboxes to possibly store my new 12 volt compressor and power supply in as well.

I had a restless night of sleep last night.  I decided to stop fighting it so I got up just after 5 am and decided to go for a bike ride. 
As I was grabbing my bike out of the back of my Toyota I spied 2 rabbits in my neighbors yard.  They must had known that they were safe because they just sat there chuckling and pointing at me and whispering back and forth.  I gave them the stink eye and one hopped off.  The other was bluffing, I could tell.  He shut up and put his ears back pretending to be tough.  I plan on stalking them tonight after I get home from work.  If either are in my yard, they WILL perish.

While waiting for our daughter to drop off the 3 grandkids, i took a couple shots at some strawberries that have been appearing on my flagstone wall backstop.


Not sure where they are coming from. I figured if it was an animal, why would they place them there instead of eating them?


If the kids on the other side of the fence are dropping them, they're placing them exactly where i can hit 'em from my bench 46 yards away.

Put a Aztec on the Rainstorm and while going through the cabinet I found 5 full tins of .22 pellets I forgot I had.

Oh and for the record, Kerry, it was extra virgin olive oil in the damper.  I think I am going to try coconut oil next because it has a higher smoke point temperature and is rich in omega 3 fatty acids.

Please don't waste any "raw" coconut oil!  It tastes so good to make popcorn with!

Ran some pellets through what may be the last shooter for the day.
One of my 2240 carbine hpa builds. Not much of the 2240 left in it... maybe the trigger and frame. Now it has a 2260 tube, disco valve (pinned) and foster fill end. 17" chopped and crowned Crosman .177 barrel. Challenger power adjuster. 13xx shoulder stock. And some other stuff I don't remember sticking in it.
It's topped off with a holographic red dot.
If ever was a gun I can shoot off hand, this is it. Awesome 15 - 20 yard duty.... although, I have taken rabbits with heads shots out to 30+ with it and others like it.

I installed an ARH tune kit in my .22 HW95. The performance change was amazing. It feels like a whole new air rifle!

Set up a target range at 30 yards in the front yard.
Also, killed pop bottles with my 1377, set up in my garden at 12 yards, pretending that it was the long eared visitor that I had last night.

Going trough every airgunsite on the internet to find out what my next gun will be, at first i was set for a pcp, a hatsan bt65 .22, very powerful but low shotcount, then a hatsan flash .177 or at44 .177, cause i dont have a powerful 177 pcp, but not so many shots from the flash either, then a hw95 came crawling in my head, would love one in 177,but i have so many good 177 rifles and if i get a 22 the hw97k would be jelaous i think...

I have 2 95s and an R9.  The HWs are .177 and the R9 is .22.  All great guns.  I prefer them in .177 vs .22 but it is nice to have a .22 break barrel.  The .22 likes the H&N FTTs in 5.53 head size best and many others report the same with their HWs.  Whatever you do keep us posted.

Get the 95 in .22, you won't regret it
