Wayne, I think that you made a better choice. I'm sorry now that I did not order the brass one because my best mould is a NOE .452 4 cavity brass one that drops bullets like butter. I do have quite a few LEE Aluminum moulds that work OK but the brass is more consistent and I have a lot less rejects.

Well I just got the notification that my mold arrived here at the Kalamazoo Hub (only two blocks away) at 4:31AM but it won't be delivered until tomorrow cause of today being a holiday

Well it got here today and am a bit bummed... Ordered paid for Brass received aluminum..

Knife My Uncle Michael passed in 2015 and was also a Texan you and him look similar enough that your new profile pic keeps reminding me of him... All three combat vets in my close family made it home and have since passed...Gramps WW2 & Korea( Army) ; Dad Vietnam(Marine) ;
Uncle Mike Vietnam(Army)...

Point is I knew Monday was Memorial Day but I get these strange stupid little disconnects... usually not bad and also usually catch them... This month it has been a little more than usual need to watch myself a bit better...

I also just caught that I have been talking about my one Disco barrel that may have been buttoned twice it is 70% land... but I just read and I realized I was talking as if all disco barrels are that way... it feels like I zero in on something then excluding others (not consciously)...

So yeah back to Uncle Mike and All others that Served... Thanks for Standing up when it was needed... I keep hoping for signs that the future will be better and that kind of Sacrifice and Valor will not be needed...it is not looking good tho...

today pulled off a standing side rest(2' pine) 1" OTO .75 ctc 5 shot 50-ish yard group with the BBT 40g... then shot 6 and 7 sucked... 6 was low and me... 7 was the tiny annoying ledge that I left from being overly cautious with the chefs honing steel when doing the leade... caught on the rear drive band and miss fed... #8 fed right and got one of the stale wheat thins out at 45 ish yards...

That was group 3... group 1 was awful but let me know I was probably right when I called the choke at ~.2495... sized .249 might work knurled back up... as is are about 2.5" at 50 ish yards...

Been getting a lot of reject bases if a strict cull... need to see if Al will sell replacement sized .125" sprue plate I think it will help...

But yea almost to a dependable .75" at 50... not bad for my limited efforts and testing with the BBT.

Group 2 was a big smile bringer

My best standing side rest 50 yard Benji domed group almost as good as benched front bag... .8" outside to outside... 7 shots that look like 6...
got cocky for shot # 8 and went for the 100 yard tuna can... bust...caught a gust and missed... that's what I get for not chancing that miss at 50 yards... old japan fine wire 4x32..

I feel sized .2495 does improve over .250 very slightly... wanted to get going with the pellet but things happen...

loving the challenge of making it work at stock Mrod fpe... my goal when Bob drew the .22 and .25 lights up...

going at my own slow pace but getting steady improvement...

Me Knife I only came very close in 1980...really thought we were headed for Iran...9th Div... Uncle Mike thought also so, just said basically all you can do is keep your head strait and maybe you get to keep it...well Carter decided not to get froggy and we did not go(maybe should have?)... But yeah I was raised to very much respect those that in the end said My Country right or wrong...

Manny, they look so good, almost a shame to fire them up! LOL!!!

The Brass molds look like a work of art. But more than my old hands can manage.

All of my NOE Molds are Alu., and with just a little care, will cast many thousands of accurate bullets.

I'm wondering if they didn't make the brass molds til last because I ordered mine as soon as I could, the last USPS location was 50 miles north of me in Grand Rapids. I'll be casting them soon, the mold might even be here today maybe

My first initial tests will be the accuracy, hopefully they'll be decent.
