NO idea, I use a bottom pushrod on my Lee press when sizing bullets.... You shouldn't have to size pellets anyways, the idea is to shoot as cast.... If you size it, the skirt will end up the same size as the head instead of 0.007-0.008" larger as intended, and like all other pellets....

skirts can be resied back up... worth trying any ways... If heads and skirts get blueprinted for size a bit   could help consistency... and I have found just enough head engagement (bore riding with minimal rifling marks) ) can be very accurate...

I have  a stock Mrod leade and one improved leade... the leade totally changed Benjamin domes... so while you are at it get to know your barrel...
If you have a sharp edge leade it might not be the pellets fault...

 My two Benjamin .25 barrels are slightly different as far as choke one is slightly tighter... also the one with a leade is the looser at .2495 groove at the choke... it also gets and stays just slightly tight at ~ 15" ... so feels double choked in a good way almost like tapered...

from the Benji domes I learned(mabye.. that I should bet these stiff skirted cast semi-waddcuter  will do better in the Mrod that has a leade..

Some times it is plug and play that works best...

just sized some Benji  domes using a dowel and just the .250 insert a taper dowel should get the skirt back out..? wonder if like the cast BBT they are best at .2495...

smaller contact patch so .250 might be better... so jazzed about the big  improvement with the Benji dome with a leade that I did not play with sizing...

lol I had no idea what a top punch was really for when I bought this mold, glad they're not expensive cause it wasn't something I really needed.  I've never really cast anything except for muzzle loading stuff and of course now pellets.

Warning!!! to people who even think about buying the Nomad Pellet maker, it is worthless compared to this mold (.25) and I see now they're making them in .30 as well.  I've got one for .22 and it's fun to experiment with but that's about it, the pellets you get from it are very inaccurate.

Point is I knew Monday was Memorial Day but I get these strange stupid little disconnects... usually not bad and also usually catch them... This month it has been a little more than usual need to watch myself a bit better...

I also just caught that I have been talking about my one Disco barrel that may have been buttoned twice it is 70% land... but I just read and I realized I was talking as if all disco barrels are that way... it feels like I zero in on something then excluding others (not consciously)...

So yeah back to Uncle Mike and All others that Served... Thanks for Standing up when it was needed... I keep hoping for signs that the future will be better and that kind of Sacrifice and Valor will not be needed...it is not looking good tho...

Bob if you are seriously considering making this design in .22 as well I'll definitely be onboard a group buy for that one, I don't need the ultra accurate swaged pellets because I'm not into the match shooting like some people are.  These pellets are top notch for hunting purposes.

Grew up with 2 holes on the mountain at my Grand parents. Never cared for it. Scary as heck for a kid.

When It comes to molds, I want all the cavities I can get. Ordered  the 5 ganger. 

I lost my uncle that served in WW !! and Korea. Man,its been years, and I miss him ever day. Hes' the man who taught me to shoot and hunt. Starting around 6 years old. I only really feel at home in the woods. and Stuck here in Central Texas. No Woods! You can hunt anything you want here. As long as your wealthy. Might as well be the UK.

Texans here love to brag on how many guns they have. I've met litterlay thousands of them thru my business. I count on two fingers how many I have shot with or known of.

Hey Wayne I have not read about your  Mrod... is it bone stock or have any mods been done..? saw the video... chipper head shot at 30 yards and the 40 yard  3 shot group... not to bad...

i switched the .125 from my .22 to my .25 bt  and it does perform much better. i asked for itin the notes when ordering my .51 mold .    ordered that on the 23rd . still no shipping notice yet, gonna have to call them when i get time.

Yeah at best I am getting about 30% rejects... I think it is a matter of needing the sprue plate hot but with the .140 hole it is easy to go slightly to hot... I can get nice sharp bases but just can not seem to keep the right tempo... the NOE 37g .22 with the small hole are easy to get sharp bases with...

so yeah If you have not talked to Al yet let him know about your results...  I bet my reject rate goes way down with the .125 plate...

Getting really good bases really seems to matter with the 40g .25 BBT... not quite as much with 30g .22 BBT but I have only sent them out a bit so far and then it was at a sedate 550 fps..

Kirby the Mrod right now has the TSS, .187 ports and an MDS hammer in it, with the JSBMKII's the last chrony measurement was about 48fpe.  Once I get it going with the SS valve I'm going to set it to a minimum of 60fpe to whatever I can get out of it.  I think 60fpe would be the ideal setting for me, that way it'll be good at a distance for the Ghogs or even squirrels now too.  I think the furthest I've shot a squirrel in the woods was probably about 60 yards and that was a head shot from my SPA M16, that gun is unreal, I doubt I'll ever get rid of that one.  I'm tempted to get one in .25 and take the regulator out of it, then I'd have to put a depinger in it but that's no problem.

The four pins on mine for the heaviest pellets (excluding the flat based ones) aren't the right size and won't fit the mold properly.  I'm glad that Bob notified me before I decided to try them next.  If yours are like this I wouldn't even attempt to try to use them cause they would more than likely damage the mold when closed.  There's a good chance they would dent the cavity.



The medium weight pins are still in my mold from the last run I did with it, they worked just fine and are the right size.

Good to see I'm not the only one.  I said before that they were 'fiddly' but having no experience with these types of molds, I didnt know if it was user error.  I even called NOE regarding after continuing to have issues. 

I just got notification of a recall and they are sending proper pins.  Good to know it wasnt just me!  :-)

Yep...  good to see they are making it right.  I'm hopeful I havent already damaged my mold. I dont think I have because I would cast... fiddle..cast... fiddle...
I checked my .30 mold and all seemed well with it.

Unlikely you have damaged anything, Rob.... I just got my mould yesterday, and when I tried the different pins I found out that the middle depth pins were (in my case) about 0.025" too long and the shallow base pins about 0.050" too long.... when you put them in place, you cannot tighten the mounting bracket down against the end of the mould.... In my .30 cal mould, once adjusted you can interchange the pins without readjusting the brackets.... as it should be....

I let Al know, he measured up some in inventory to confirm the issue, and then sent a PM to all purchasers through the NOE system to let them know that he will be supplying new pins to correct the problem.... In the meantime, you can use the deep pins (which make the lightest pellets).... but I would suggest you hold off on using the others until you get the correct pins....

I just got off the phone with Al, he called me to say "OOPS!" and let me know they are correcting the problem.... and to thank everyone for their patience....

Good to know.  I had assumed that I could do two of the solid pins and two of the others to have different sizes in one casting session and of course was having major issues.  I was careful not to force anything so hopefully am good.

I'll just hold off using it at all until I get the proper pins in.

I havent casted with my .30 mold yet.  I found that the pellets are too long for my Cricket and for my FX Boss so will be looking for a single shot tray, otherwise will just use those pellets in my .30 M10 I suppose.

If the Boss takes the same magazine as the Cricket, you can get a single shot tray from NOE.... Al had the same issue so he made some up....
