I've had trouble getting a response as well, by email, but was able to get him on the phone yesterday, and he was very friendly, and answered my questions. I am not sure he checks his email very often, or maybe when he does, he only has so much time? He needs an assistant in IMO, seems like a great guy, don't like to see his business suffer from lack of customer service.

The more he has to divey up to others the less that goes into his pockets. He'd rather take his chances, with the odds he'll still be selling to those whom he feels he does good by him.

You make the investment, have your company logo put on the gun and come up with a neat name for each. You order, pay and take shipment on a container of the guns. Meantime, you build a website and market the guns. And you build a following for those guns.... life is good and the future looks bright..... or is it.Suddenly you're blindsided by a well know German company who manages to somehow take one of those guns and have their logo put on it and a different neat little name and get it into the US through an American dealer..... then another, then another.... then a completely different importer gets even another one in, and then another.....Just suppose....What would you do?Well because I give excellent customer service, always provide accurate tracking and go the extra mile for my customers I don't worry about it too much.I do start looking for a new provider, but due to my loyal and happy customers I don't sweat it in the short term. Now if someone out there failed to care about customer service, he could be in big trouble. You make a very good point there SteveG. This exclusive vendor/dealer agreement stuff works both ways or at least it should. Not only should said business owner be concerned about the image of his own business and its reputation, but the air rifle manufacture (SPA) needs to be concerned about the same things, and it's image. But to a higher level. In this case it may seem that MrodAir was beginning to cause Snow Peak products to get a bad wrap since he is the only source of there products and beginning to hinder their ability to sell products here in the US.Here's an example of what I mean.If I'm the ONLY pipeline to get a foreign companies products into the US because I'm the ONLY "exclusive dealer" for them. Then it would make sense that the foreign company would want to ensure that I am always open and available to conduct business AND that I'm representing THEIR products in the best way possible. So they would want to ensure that I'm representing them well, with products ready to ship and service after the sale to keep the Product image growing. So maybe they found out none of that was happening any longer and decided to seek other resources to attempt to rebuild their brand and product name here in the US. That's just a guess on my part, but with the comment Steve made he could be on to something.

Travis I just got an email back from Julie @ chinairifles for some parts, I am getting a regulator, 2 gauges, 2 transfer ports, and 3 magazines for my SPA M16 in .22. Total cost of the parts is $61 plus $42 Fedex shipping which she said was the most inexpensive, she said China shipping would cost more. I figure that's not too shabby for the price of things these days.
Dang!!! right after my last post on this thread, I went back to my email to check and already had an email back from Julie saying the parts will be shipped Monday, very cool
Just placed an order for 2 CP1s - a .22 and a .177. Then I found this thread....lets see what happens....fingers crossed!Dan

One guy orders all the parts for everyone, and everyone splits the cost of the shipping equally. We have done this a few times. Actually the prices are set by SPA they have a definitive price structure like Dealer and MapOnce a new Spa distributor is established here in the US, and that distributor has inventory in stock here in the US, then the price of the guns/parts/shipping should be less. This will all be dependent on how the distributor chooses to set his prices and profit margins.
