I sent Julie at SPA a link to this thread. She responded that they are aware of problems with Mrod-air and would like to find another U.S. distributor this year. She did not indicate they have chosen one and in fact she asked me for advice on who I might recommend. I told her Chickie and/or Mike Melick. It's up to them to take this any further if they are interested.

As much as I love Mike Mellick.... don't expect tracking from him either.... just great customer service other wise. Others have reported that he's difficult to reach by phone.

No tracking ? Really ? How difficult is it to provide that to people paying you money ?? What am I missing here ?

That's good that they are aware of Mrodair lack of customer service. I'm real satisfied with my P-12, I'd like to get .25, but if Mrodair is the only option, I'll pass, as I'll never do business with them again.

Julie followed up her E-mail. She said they can only send barrels and stocks to licensed dealers and the shipping cost is quite high.

It's actually a rather time-consuming thing to do when you have more than a couple of shipments per day. I think it can be automated if you have the right equipment like scanners, but these small airgun dealers probably do not, so it's a time consuming process of sending individual emails to people and writing down and typing in long tracking numbers, and easy to mis-type a number. I understand why some small businesses resist doing this when they don't have the equipment, software, and process in place to automate this task.

Fedex does this automatically. You just give the website their email when you create the label.
You are literally filling out one field.
