Spotted these two in the backyard. Low quality pics as the shots were taken through a window screen at dusk. They flew about 40 feet from the trellis to the barn roof and back several times over about 15 minutes. Their flying and their landings looked pretty clumsy to me. They still had fluffy-downy feathers, perhaps they were siblings who just left the nest. They were still hanging around the yard on the next day. We hear their relatives most summer nights. It's always nice to see interesting creatures around the homestead.
Indeed! Hard to stop looking at them.
