That looks like a fun spot Dihn. I have plenty of go fast and usually they are broken because a cartwheel that went 50 feet at about 65 70 turns them into a yard sale lol.

I've got quite a few 1/10 and 1/8 speedsters. At that scale, you can really only travel straight after 35-40mph, and speed runs on asphalt I find gets boring pretty quick. I do like power sliding in the dirt and catching air, but nowadays, I'm all about scale crawlers.
I also enjoy running my 1/18 road racer in my driveway "track".

The biggest issue with trucks like this is finding a suitable place to run them.  A gravel/sand/shale pit (like in the video) is an ideal spot.  They'll go from one side of a yard or vacant lot to the other in no time... you really need some room.  This truck runs very well (and a little more scale-like) on a 2-cell battery.  I rarely put in a 3-cell unless I have a lot of room.

I enjoy R/C stuff and also have several airplanes (internal combustion and electric powered), helicopters and a couple of boats. I guess the R/C stuff is like our nice airguns: things you wanted badly as a kid but couldn't afford with lawn mowing money.

Spotted these two in the backyard.   Low quality pics as the shots were taken through a window screen at dusk.  They flew about 40 feet from the trellis to the barn roof and back several times over about 15 minutes.   Their flying and their landings looked pretty clumsy to me. They still had fluffy-downy feathers, perhaps they were siblings who just left the nest.  They were still hanging around the yard on the next day.   We hear their relatives most summer nights.   It's always nice to see interesting creatures around the homestead.
