Then he passed away. So, I asked the estate manager if I might have these piles of granite, as i had a notion for them. He looked at me sort of strangely, and said, Yep, you bet. Take em away. So, i began a month long hard labor effort of wheelbarrow hauling them down from his side of our small valley dell, and then up my side of the canyon, and, a month of 10 hour days later,... Rainbow Falls was no longer just in my mind, it was a reality. Our little canyon is the upper reaches of Rainbow Creek. That, and the myriad of colors of the stone, it is known as Rainbow Falls, both here, and amongst my neighbors.I can't see it from my house, as it is on 'the other side" of a small Lime tree grove, and 90' away from the nearest rain gutter (all underground drain pipe). But, my neighbor can see it from his living room, and he thanks me for upgrading his property value. Thats alright, as he is the best friend and greatest neighbor that you could ever hope for.At any rate,.... Rainbow Falls, flowing. That is fantastic! Well done Mike 👌🏼You are a granite artist. That’s A LOT of granite! No joke in building Rainbow Falls 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼That one is small granite pebbles, compared to this monster. This one was a massive effort. It is also how I control a seasonal stream from taking aim at my house, which it used to aim at regulary. The soundtrack is a pipe organ recital that I recorded; Bach Tocatta and FugueI spent the day, yesterday, readying for this thing to flow, intensely, with the upcoming storms. And a video of Rainbow Falls in action:I literally have hundreds, perhaps thousands of tons f granite boulders that I've imported here.

hmmm,....
We live right across the road from that sign; my neighbors. He has lots of Macadamia Nut trees on his two acres and he is a powder-burner enthusiast. And, right next to him is perhaps 5 acres or more of abandoned Macadamia trees. They produce lots of nuts, most of which go to the ground, and create lots more trees. Some folk here decided that was going to be their retirement income, not realizing just how intensive an effort it is to produce a clean viable nut to sell.We used to have an overabundance of Sage Rats that fed on them (ground squirrels). (laughs maniacally smilie here)
We ventured deep into the wilderness to harvest some maple wood. This is the result.
