Michael my 705-9K was made before your 9T, basically a newer mfg date.

My brand new 705 .22 came with who knows how much PSI in it. Huh, you say? Because after I filled it to 3k with my SCBA tank, the pressure gauge is reading 0 frigging PSI, THE SAME AS BEFORE I FILLED IT!

Sent an email off to Mike and am waiting for a reply - you guys talk about how great a guy he is etc. but this is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE! How can he tune and test a brand new rifle and not check the pressure gauge, a critical part of the gun, for proper operation???

I'm sorry David. I would expect more, too. Mike has been pretty responsive to emails but doesn't return phone calls, in my experience. From what I've read I'm assuming he will make it right. $:-\$

He responded back saying to unscrew the gauge a 1/4 turn at a time until it either started working or the air tube began leaking air. Tried that about four times with no luck. Guess he's going to have to send me a new gauge assembly.

On a side note, the instruction manual has nothing on adjusting the trigger for the 705-series rifles. The trigger can be adjusted, can it not? Mine has a very long 1st stage take-up that I'm hoping can be adjusted out.

last July i ordered and received the Sentry .22 and a Rex scope to put on it. it arrived shortly before i had to leave for work, so when i got home that night i mounted the scope. it appeared the air pressure had dropped while i was at work. the next morning i confirmed that, as it dropped more. in 4 days the pressure was down to the yellow - i still had not fired the gun.

currently the gun is still new, unfired, and in a corner collecting dust. i don't know if i want to try to fix it, sell it, or send it back.

i am glad to know that i am not the only one who is less than pleased with the Sentry purchase.

My Sentry 705 .22 was received with about 2200 psi as I recall. I spoke to Mike before ordering (being brand new to this) and found him very knowledgeable and helpful. My gun is still holding pressure and other than cleaning it has required nothing for maintenance. Having read all the information on this gun I new full well I was buying inexpensive chinese products that sometimes leaked. I also read that it was a great gun for the low price but could easily be worked on should maintenance be required.

I left a message Monday at FD and Mike called me back this morning. We discussed a little R7 for my "around the house gun" He said he had some tuned and ready to go. I sent the funds by PayPal and in less than an hour I had an email notice from UPS that I had a package from Flying Dragon Air Guns that would be here Friday. That in my book is superior service.

I am sorry that your air gage may not be functioning properly, but all my contacts and purchases with Mike at Flying Dragon have been great.

I'm glad you were lucky and got one that didn't leak or have other issues. The fact of the matter is Mike at the least needs to pressurize these guns for a number of hours to catch leaks and check obvious things like my defective from the factory pressure gauge. It matters not how inexpensive these airguns are or whether they're made in China or not.

Following Mike's suggestions, I unscrewed the pressure gauge just enough to slowly vent the air tube pressure. Once I had removed the gauge, I looked to see if a small hole on the back of the gauge was covered with a square of clear tape that Mike said should be there. The tape was in place so the next step was for Mike to ship me a replacement gauge.

As I went to reinstall the unit last night, a tiny, circular piece of black plastic fell off the center of the threaded boss of the pressure gauge. Thinking that I had broken something, I took a close-up photo of the bit of plastic and where it came off of and sent it to Mike. He replied back this morning stating the plastic bit wasn't part of the gauge and to reinstall and refill to test. My gauge now appears to be working as it should and my rifle seems to be holding pressure.

I want to apologize to all for going off and ASSuming that Mike had sent my rifle out without adequately testing it. I am not experienced at working on PCP's so tend to get intimidated working on them. I guess I just have to jump in do it to overcome my hesitancy.

I had a spray rig hose block up today went from working to nothing , just like that, took some testing and thinking and yup the main line was plugged with a big chunk of WTH

I recovered both slugs from the large fox squirrel I shot with mine the other day, one was shot from 25 yards(left) and the other head shot(right) was about 10 yards, these slugs really dump energy well, I only use pure lead when casting. My 27.5 grain BBT's are totally devastating and these slugs were doing 40+fpe at the muzzle. I'm sure that dime size groups could be achieved from a bench at 50 yards easily with these slugs out of a .22 Xisico Sentry and also the 702's as well, you just won't get nearly as many shots per fill with a 702 but they too are very accurate rifles.

Anyone have a suggestion to lower the volume on a 705. I went to the effort of asking Mike at TKO to custom manufacture a TKO mod and the thing still barks too loudly for my neighborhood. If I can't find a solution I will be forced to sell it which is a shame since it is such a fine gun and tuned to perfection by Mike @ FDAR. Thanks

.22 or .25? What velocity are you shooting? What are the dimensions of the TKO moderator?

How long is the TKO moderator, what weight pellet are you shooting and what power level is your 705 set to? Eyeballing the stock mod on my 705 .22, 1-1/4 inches is the largest diameter moderator one could use. More length may be required to achieve the sound reduction you and most likely I are seeking.

18.1gr power at 3.5 the mod is 6.5 inches long but I did put a 1.25x8" on with a barrel adapter and the results were slightly better but still loud. It has only been fired a dozen times so I wonder if it will quiet over time. Thanks
