I had my .22 705-9K back out at the state land yesterday, I managed to get a red squirrel with it shooting my cast slugs, I also tried some GTO lightweight pellets in it shooting about 35 yards with surprising accuracy results, it was neat shooting supersonic and sounded just like a .22 rimfire

I might even order one of the .25 HC's with lever action and modify that also for some good results I'm sure. My bolt action HC is doing 50fpe with cast slugs, I actually shot a weasel with that gun a couple months ago at 25-30 yards distance. These guns in my opinion are going to be hard to beat for the price, accuracy and reliability.

Chuck I get great accuracy at 50 yards, I just uploaded a video clip I did the other day taking 3 shots at one of my pin up targets sitting on a bucket using my right elbow resting on my knee for a steady.

What rail system? 11mm or picatinny size/

Johnny they have 11mm dove tail. I just degassed one that I bought from HoosierDaddy (Scott), I'm going to open the ports in it to 5/32", I'll be going through it completely though checking and deburring anything that needs attention. This will be the first time working on one of the original ones and it should be interesting

This one has options like: "power mod addon", lighter trigger, regulated or unregulated. With all of those options it jumps from $339 to $429...$90 more.
They say..."Unregulated the HC tops out around 1010fps in 22 cal with 14.3gr pellets" and that's a BIG difference from the FlyingDragon numbers.

You guys are NOT talking about the Sentry HC 705, correct?

FlyingDragon has the non-HC model for $320

It's a bit confusing at the moment

if you email Flying dragon he may have some side lever 705's, i dont think he updated his site for that model but he may note it in his blog section,, if AirgunArcheryFun is out of stock iam sure he is getting more in, both guys are great to deal with and the only Xisico dealers in North America

He has both .25 & .22 HC's in stock when I checked earlier today, he only had 9 of the .22's when I checked but quite a few of the .25's , he's also getting another shipment of the .22's in a couple of weeks. I got my 702-3 back together now but I haven't checked it over the chrony yet, my guess is that I'm getting at least 900fps with my 19.6grain pellets now but won't know until I put some over the chrony. The thing is really barking now, the transfer port that was in it was tiny to begin with, I put one in it that's 5/32's but with this 1st Gen valve I could easily go 3/16" but I'm going to leave it like it is for now. The original is about 1/16" which is .062 and the one that's in it now is .156.

Waiting to see what that TP opening gives you, I took mine to .145 IIR maybe a bit smaller, I was going for a medium high tune. may go more if it gives you a little better puff of air

I just did an 8 shot clip and the average speed was 929.8 using my 19.6 grain hunters with average fpe 37.63fpe

Might be as I expected, one will need to open up the valve porting to gain more than 40 FPE on this model of the gun $:-\$

I did open the valve exhaust, port in the breech and transfer port all with 5/32" the same as the other two. I still have the original transfer port for this gun which is only 1/16th of an inch, it's tiny. It too also has the three radial ports in the barrel with two o rings like all the others do. The poppet on this valve seals on a flat rather than a taper like the other's do. Every single Sentry I own has had small differences in the valves.

I don't yet own a PCP. Though I've lately given some thought to trying one out. And the sentry just looks cool! What has held me back is that it's unregulated (if I'm right...), and dealing with a whacked out power curve doesn't appeal to me.
