Had some yummy cantaloupe, watermelon, tomato and mandarin for breakfast. Cheeseburger and fries with ketchup that really hit the spot for lunch! I'll skip dinner and take a pb&j sammich for dessert.

We'd already eaten an early dinner on our errands trip but the sign for KNEELING BREAD along the road back required a U-turn to check it out. The seller explained it was ground fresh corn kernels packed into corn husks and baked or grilled. We bought one to nibble from, saving the rest in our cooler.

It is like a cross between cornbread and a green corn tamale and it really perks up with a little smear of butter. I like it! The correct corn to use is not the usual sweet corn found in supermarkets. It is a variety called flint corn, said to tolerate the arid climate of the Four Corners region. Looks like it is less juicy than sweet corns. I wonder if I can grow it here.

Had a ham steak for dinner. Never again in the summer. It had so much salt in it I was dieing of thirst all night.😕

Gonna have left over pizza from yesterday for breakfast here in a few. I was outside working by 6am and just now got hungry.

I hate food with lots of sodium.

I prefer my meals bland 👍

No wonder I was dieing of thirst. That dang steak had 1890 mg of salt.
